Free Nivea at Target

I actually found quite a few good deals at Target today.  One quick deal is Nivea Energy Men’s Body Wash– which was priced at $3.04 at my store.  If you find the same deal- use the $3/1 from the 10/17 RP and get it for .04!

Walmart has always had these for about $3 as well- so if you are planning a trip you might check it out.

I don’t need any body wash but I will grab a few of these for donation.

I am so annoyed! The Nivea coupon was NOT in our paper today (Duluth, Minnesota)! : ( I stopped to buy one (I don’t every week) just for it too. : ( Are they available online perchance?

Elizabeth they are available from the Coupon Clippers for .50 each which seems steep to me. I can mail you mine if you want them- I don’t need any body wash. Just email me your mailing address- I have 4.

I am looking to donate some of my excess. I know about places to donate food, but not toiletries. Any ideas to share?

@Sarah H: One idea is to look for places collecting items to send to servicemen and women serving overseas. My son’s school did a collection last year and I was able to get tons of free toiletries to send – razors, body wash, toothbrushes & toothpaste, deodorant, etc. They typically get standard gov’t issue stuff, so it’s always good to send along some nicer stuff. 🙂

Sarah, when I have extra I give toiletries to places like our local homeless shelter/gospel mission where they give people meals but also let them stay the night. There are usually item collections around here close to Christmas or in the winter.
I put non-liquid stuff in Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. I have a lot of free Reach toothbrushes for those this year!

Sarah I have a charity that comes by each month and collects everything for a homeless shelter. It makes it so easy and I always have a few boxes for them. If I didn’t have that option, I would probably seek out a battered women’s shelter. Some of them have sons I am sure- so both men’s and women’s items are probably appreciated. I have girls, but my guess is that a little guy would appreciate Nivea for Men over the floral scents for ladies 🙂

I just ordered 20 on eBay for around $6. Actually, I ordered 40. My husband is currently deployed and these can go in flat rate APO boxes. 🙂 Of course, I sent him away with tons of Gillette BW (that was free, of course); however, I am sure his until would love them. YAY!

Ronald Mcdonald House is an amazing charity that always needs things like body wash and shampoo. They provide everything a family would need while they are staying there while their child is in the hospital.

Thanks for the ideas! I’ll do that 🙂

Mary do you have any suggestions for how others can send off boxes for troops for the holidays? I’d love to put something up on MFA for either the troops or for their little ones that are left at home. I have worked with places before for coupons to be sent off but never care package type things. I bet a lot of people would love to put some packages together.

Charlene, there are lots of different ways to send packages to the troops. Many of the troops that are deployed to Afghanistan could use non-perishable food items right now. If anyone is interested in sending packages with those things (and, of course, toothpaste, body wash, razors, etc), I am sure my husband’s team would be interested. I can email that address out but not post publicly. I will speak to my husband about it next time he calls. He is waiting for his team to arrive this week so we will know what their needs are then.

You might also call around to the churches in your area. Many of them have soldiers that are deployed who would happily provide an address for packages.

If you live near a military post, you can also contact them about such things.

My daughters school just collected toiletries for the local veterans nursing home, they were in desperate need of supplies and with Veterans day coming up soon the school Beta club stepped in to help 🙂 They also have boxes set up to send to the troops, thank goodness for freebies,
I need to replenish my stash now!!

    Hi Sarah,
I also love donating and where I live the local food bank gladly accepts toiletries–in fact there is a great need for these items as funding restrictions prevents them from buying these items but the need for these items is great. I’ve donated toothpaste, bodywash, toothbrushes, deodorant, lotion. face cleansers, soap etc along with boxes of food.

Like Sue I’ve also donated through the food banks, they are always happy to get toiletries, and they LOVE diapers.
I’ve also donated to various other places such as our local school (you’d be amazed at how much the office staff knows about families in need), hospitals (parents sometimes barely have time for a shower, let alone a run home to get something, so the nurses will keep things on hand to give to patients or parents in need), our local homeless children’s school (they get a lot of kids that literally have nothing, so a new toothbrush and a bottle of bubble bath is a wonderful thing in their eyes), deployed military service people, returning military service people (some of these people will be in hospitals for weeks after arriving back “home” and they have no family around them, so it’s nice to show that we appriciate all they do), battered women’s shelters, and if you don’t know of anything else, look to your Pastor, they often can direct you to a family in need. Thanks so much for showing everyone that they can help out without killing their own family budget Charlene!

HMMM, I do the above things and am glad that I’m not alone. Wish more people would get with the program.
