Free Candy & Neutrogena at CVS!

Reader Amy told me that she scored a $1 coupon at the scanner for any Mars/Hershey Fun Size candy.  She used it on the little 8pks bags that are .99 this week and got them for free!

My husband was in charge of a very quick Safeway run today and he went next door to CVS and got a coupon for $1 off any Hershey’s or Mars candy.  He bought the Reese’s cups and got them free.

Now my husband says there was no size restriction on the coupon so don’t get them confused with the ones printing for 9oz bags right now.

Another fantastic unadvertised deal this week is Neutrogena Triple Moisture Split End Mender 3oz.  This is priced at $7.49 with a $7.49 ECB back!

Hopefully you find the same deal- if you don’t see tags on the shelf you might scan them just to be sure.

UPDATE:  I bought this today and it was essentially .62 for tax.  These are the smaller sized bottles and my store only had 2 in stock.  You can always ask for a raincheck if your store is out!

See the rest of this week’s CVS deals here.

Thanks I Heart CVS!

I looked at the coupon I got today and your dh is right. There’s no size restriction! I do have another coupon from (?) last week with a size restriction.

Oh thanks afl! I was feeling guilty that he might have stolen candy 🙂 Unintentional of course- but still being a cheater. He is better at coupons than I give him credit for.

How can you scan the neutrogena and tell if it has ecb’s? Does the scanner tell you?

How funny! My husband will go shopping with one or two coupons. Anymore and he can’t handle it. How do we manage with a huge list, a million coupons, and a couple kids in tow? No wonder I’m a little nutty.

Charlene, how can you tell if there is ECBs with an item when you scan it? I’ve scanned items with and without & I don’t see anything indicating that one will get ECBs. Thanks!

Well I have found sometimes it will and a few times it won’t. I have just scanned and it will say ECB under the price. I guess you could always just buy it and return it but it isn’t that often that I find there are regional ECB deals at CVS. Usually they work nationwide unless you buy the wrong item 🙂

No Lisette- it seems there are three coupons printing. The $1 off any that we got, the $1/2 that you got and the $1/1 9oz or larger.

Bummer! I just got back from CVS and couldn’t find the Split End Mender. The coupon I got for the candy did have a size restriction – $1 off 9-13 oz fun size bags I believe. Being that I have 2 CVS stores within a mile of my house I’m going to try the other one later!

Did anyone get the Split End Mender and have the ECB print?

I found out yesterday (from someone in the pharmacy) that when THEY price check an item at the register, it will usually say “extra” next to the item, or something like that if there is an ECB on it. I picked up the Azo stuff yesterday and there was no sign, and I wanted to make sure it was the right stuff for the ECB deal, they scanned it and they were able to tell me right away. 🙂

I got the Neutrogena Split End Mender this morning. Deal worked out just as Charlene put it. It was a little hard to find though and it’s a small tube. There was a tag with the price/ECB on the shelf at my store. The candy coupon I got had a size restriction on it.

Sarah I did the same thing 🙂 Candy coupon was for 9oz or more. Boo!

LaDuena- No I am sorry it is an unadvertised deal so there is no way to prove it. Not sure why it didn’t work for you- did you buy the one pictured in 3 oz size? What you can do is call the number on the back of your CVS card and give them the info off your receipt. Then ask them if there is supposed to be an ECB on that item. If they say no you are probably out of luck on this one or you can try another store. If they say yes, the customer service person can force your ECB through and it prints the next time you shop 🙂

What does the bottom of your receipt say by the way? Is there anything on there about Neutrogena?
