Digiorno Pizzas $2.49 at Safeway

Reader Christine found a great deal at Safeway.  This week they have Digiorno Pizzas priced at $3.99 each when you buy 3.  There is a $1/1 coupon in the 9/12 RP that makes them $2.99.

She purchased 6 and received (3) $1 catalinas.  It appears there might be a cat running for $1 back on every two that you buy, but I can’t find any details on it.

I was thinking $2.99 was a good price to begin with but $2.49 is a really good price.

Has anyone else received the catalina from Digiorno?

I got a $1 catalina for buying two CPKs a couple of weeks ago. Is that $2 off coupon still available? That would be a super great deal then!!!

    Hi Charlene,
I just wanted to let you know that we got to try out the Just For U program a week early, because my son is an employee. And while it will be difficult for some, and parts of it are confusing. I think parts will be great. For example I scored a 10 lb bag of potatoes tonight for $0.37! However people are going to have to do a lot more of their own match ups. And since Safeway has not changed their coupon policy yet they will (as of right now) push through any manufacturer coupons so that you should be able to use one paper and one ecoupon. But don’t expect this to last for long. Now if your ecoupon from cellfire or shortcuts doesn’t come off you’ll have to contact them directly (although some stores will handle it). Tonight some of my ecoupons came off and some didn’t (it was strange, my BC fruit snacks didn’t but my Cheerios did). Overall it didn’t seem too bad though. Each Safeway has ambassadors with their own special uniform to help you out and has a computer and printer at customer service where you can print your specialized shopping list-so save your ink! This will be available on Wed when they launch the program. They really want to be accommodating. I’m teaching a class and they are sending a representative to come sign everyone up. The video on their website and the faq’s are helpful. On my shopping trip I tried to do different kinds of match ups and they almost all worked. I was able to use paper MQ’s with their MQ’s which we didn’t think we’d be able to do. And my personal price saved was higher than the weekly price, but it automatically gave me the lower price of the two. Anyway, let me know if you have any questions before your mtg.

    Hi Charlene,

Am wondering … with a sale like this, is it still better than Costco, since they’re having a special sale ($3.50 off 3pcs box)now? I have not visited my local Costco yet. Hope someone has and would so nice to let us know.

On the other hand, I noticed that the Hungry Man (which you mentioned and made scienarios with days ago) in my Safeway was priced at $2.50 as “introductory price”, with the coupon you provided link with I did get two box for $.50 each! Thanks for your help and hope this info helps!

    Regards,

    Sheila

Sheila I just bought pizza at Costco but I didn’t notice DiGiorno. I bought the pesto and cheese kind.

Charlene I am quite curious now… what pizza do you buy at Costco? I mean, what brand is it that have the pesto and cheese kind? Sounds so..,.. delicious! It is not Costco’s own right? Please do tell me more about it – I am always looking for better tasting pizzas!

Sheila this one is pretty good. It was something like French Pastry pizza and it is a smaller size with like puff pastry dough. It is easier on my braces than real dough. I would probably buy it again. There are 6 and I think it was $9.99.

So sorry to trouble you again – and off topic as I understand – but please please do tell me the brand name/ item No. of this pizza, I am so extremely curious and attracted just by your description! I will definitely look for it tomorrow – my planed Costco-visit day! Thanks!

Sheila I took them out of the box so I don’t have any other information. I think it was called “French Pastry Pesto Pizzas”. There were 6 or so single sized ones in the box and I think it was $9.99. If your Costco carries them, I am sure you won’t miss it. I also got Amy’s Burritos and I know they were close to those. Sorry,
