Deceptively Delicious $8 Shipped!

I get emails all the time about my menu planning.  I have had a vlog series on this in the works for ages now and hope to have that up soon.

In the meantime, here is one of my favorite cookbooks if you have little ones.  (Or if you have a picky husband like mine.)

Amazon has Deceptively Delicious on sale for $8 right now and shipping is free with Prime.

This book has simple, easy ways to sneak healthy stuff into basic food.  She has recipes for everyday stuff like mashed potatoes, muffins, pancakes, tacos etc… and she figures out ways to sneak in extra veggies and make things just a little healthier.

If anyone else has this book let us know what you think!

PS: I have been looking forward to her second book which is being released later this month!  If anyone spots a better deal on the SECOND BOOK than Amazon has let me know!

Update: You might find this book at your local Kohl’s as well.  I am certain it was not at my store since I asked 2 employees and literally walked from one end to the other end of the store for an hour.

I bought this at Kohl’s in AZ in August for $5. They had them up front by the registers. I’m not sure if they still have them. I love it!

Kohl’s has these in their Cares for Kohl’s section for $5 which is even better. And the proceeds go to charity!

This book was in the Kohls Cares $5 section last week, along with the Dr Seuss books and stuffed animals 🙂

Great book. Like it a lot. Found it at Big Lots for $3.

I love this book! It has great ideas on hiding veggies for kids. But the ideas are for everyone. After I read it the first time I started putting cut up veggies and purees in everything. The easiest – and our favorite…spinach. You can add chopped fresh spinach to just about anything (smoothies, eggs, ground beef) and not taste it at all.

The whole concept helps us get our veggies – but it also helps us use up leftover produce without wasting!!!

This is not related to amazon, but the kohls in Huntsville Alabama has the cook books priced @ $2.50.

Melissa- I meant the new book that is coming out. I heard from a few people last month the Deceptively Delicious was on sale but I checked twice in the past week and my store for sure does not carry it.

I just bought this book at Ollie’s for $4.99! I have not made anything out of it, yet, but the recipes look great!

This book is at Kohl’s in Roseville.

Ok Shelly- I don’t need it but I don’t know how I missed it when I walked around the store for an hour looking and asked 2 people working? Can you tell me where you found it? I looked Sunday and again last night and could not find it. Regardless- for some people it might be worth an extra $3 to not have to drive to the store and walk around looking for it.

I am 100% with you Charlene. I used to always read about how a deal is a tiny bit better if you do this or do that and now I know better. I think my time is worth more than saving $2 or $3. It will cost me that in gas just to drive to Kohl’s. For the extra 20 minute drive and then to wander a store and possibly not find it- ordering from Amazon is a much better option. I was thinking of pre-ordering that new book as well. Let us know if you find a better deal!

Yup I think you are exactly right. Nice job Cali! I hope you like that book. I thought it was fun and so easy. The deviled eggs are soo good and the pumpkin oatmeal too.
