I felt like this week was pretty stank as far as coupons go in my area! So this is how things went this week. Stay tuned for my menu plan to see what I put together with this stuff. We switched to a different plan for the organic produce delivery that is $30 every other week. This is going to put a dent in my budget and it will start next weekend.
RALEYS: $17.38
There was no real need to go to Raley’s this week but you better believe I made an excuse to get the free cupcakes. (They were worth it.)
Milk $2.79
Shallot .15
Avocados $3.58 (this should have been $1.34 but my coupon didn’t work? I will have to ask for a refund next time.)
2 pints Strawberries $3.99
4 Cucumber $2.68
Apples $2.10
Eggs $1.98
4 Cupcakes- free with coupon
WHOLE FOODS: $10.04
3 Vegetable Broth $1.99
Apricot Filone Bread $1.99 (for my fig goat cheese!)
2 Tazo Teas $1.25- used (2) $1/1 coupons= .50
2 Smart Dogs $2.99 each- Used (2) $1/1 coupons= $1.99 each
Sea Salt .99
Voskos Greek Yogurt $1.59- used $1 coupon= $.59
SAFEWAY: $12.06
4 Ore Ida Potatoes $1.99- used (2) $3/2 coupons= .49 per bag
Heavy Cream $2.99
Safeway Buns x2- $1.79 each
Bananas $3.79
Mushrooms $2.99 for 2 pints
2 bags Mixed Lettuce $1 each
Provolone Cheese $2.64
I used a $3 cat and a $5 cat from last time (these were already mailed to me free catalina marketing!)
I bought the $20 voucher for Soap.com for $10. I got 2 huges boxes of trash bags and a lip balm for $12.77 shipped to my door. Yeah! These boxes should last several months. The lip balm was a little spendy at $3.69 but I love eos.
So $52.25 this week but Raley’s overcharged me about $2 so it actually worked out almost perfect.

I must of missed the post about the fig goat cheese..yummo! I could eat goat cheese everyday on crackers with strawberry peserves 🙂
Are you a vegetarian Charlene? You must be… I am looking forward to my Raley’s trip this week. I’m going to use my 10 off 50 and stock up on chicken breasts and get some veggies, maybe the salad kits with coupon, my free cupcakes and free Dr. Pepper although we only drink diet… Maybe I’ll ask if I can get Diet Dr. Pepper. Thanks for all the great posts, I’m off to go read your “about” section again;-)
Well I am- but the girls and my husband are not. In fact, my littlest loves meat- it kind of worries me. We buy at low prices and put it in the freezer. There are 6 bags of chicken in there now, London Broil, pork chops- the only thing we need really is ground beef. So I can skip probably a month of buying meat at any given time and still have protein for every meal 🙂
Hi Charlene,
If you don’t mind, can you let me know where you got the 1$ Voskos yogurt coupon? THey have it on sale at Ralphs this week for 1$ and if I can get them, they are free. Thanks
All those Whole Foods ones I got here:

Charlene, the idea of having farm fresh produce delivered sounds great! Are you using Farm Fresh To You? Please let us all know how that works out – it sounds very tempting to try!
You didn’t get the free Dr. Pepper? The Dr. Pepper coupon works for diet. Loaded up on frozen veggies and S&W tomatoes, used the buy 2 get one free on pineapple, avocados, cupcakes, salad kits — ended up with only $33 out of pocket after free cupcakes, Dr. Pepper and $10 off.
Thanks a lot Charlene. I love the honey fig ones and they are on sale this week. I am planning to get at least 6. I already bought 6 with the 1$/2 MQ from 4/13, but these I can get for free.
Scott we are weaning ourselves off soda 🙁 Haven’t had any in weeks or I would have grabbed it.
Elizabeth- we are using Farm Fresh to You. I posted the first delivery here:

I moved to the $30 fresh fruit one to see what I get. I just found it hard to make a meal plan with the random veg I got. But I am going to play with the different plans and see which I like best. I love winter veggies so I might change my mind 🙂
Hi Charlene, I am not one to ever post links to my own blog in comments so feel free to do with this information as you please! But I thought you might find this useful in regards to your CSA box. We are semi-close to each other (I live in Concord) and I also went through Farm Fresh To You. I wrote a whole series about my experience and also talked a lot about the farmers market (my new alternative to a CSA).
Here is the first post, it will guide you to the rest of the posts if you’re interested in reading them:
