What sort of problems do you have at Walmart? i honestly have never had any when i use coupons (knock on wood).

i’ve not had problems but I’ve found the prices between target/wal-mart seems only a few cents cheaper and I find that its a bit harder to get to the wal-mart, they are literally a few blocks away but it always feels crowded since its part of a bigger strip mall. target is a store by itself and then there is another part of separate strip mall so there is a bit of a difference.

returns were a big hassle too. ๐Ÿ™

Lucky you Josie! I have seen nice stores so I know they exist. Mine is crammed with 8 trillion people- all of which are grabbing for things like there is a time limit to shop or something. You have to bring battle gear into the stores. Then the staff is really something to behold. My checker today was a very nice old lady that insisted she got all 4 of my coupons. She did not of course and I had to hassle with waiting for a refund. Meanwhile- she finished her shift and was in line behind me at customer service to pay for her very large bottle of frightening looking vodka ๐Ÿ˜‰ (I was ready for some at that point too). It is really something to behold my store and I don’t think I have ever had a wait that was less than 20 minutes to check out. It seriously gives me anxiety attacks that I will be trampled.

Charlene..OMG at the vodka, that is too funny. I can understand what you mean about it being very crowded. I guess I don’t notice it too much because my crazy two year old distracts me too much ๐Ÿ™‚ My cashiers just seem too hurried to notice my coupons–lol.

My Walmart sounds a lot like yours! Last time I made the mistake of stopping there the lines were particularly horrendous; after I stood there for what seemed like days, they announced overhead that they appreciated our patience as they were having problems with the cash registers. It would have been helpful if they had mentioned the problem was that they couldn’t take debit or credit. Guess who only had a debit card. I don’t think my store sells vodka, I probably would have picked some up too!

My WM gave me such a hassle last night too with the Gain Qs. It comes up as Valid Q amount? That makes the cashier think something is wrong. That and it says 1 per purchase. Both the cashier and shift manager took that as I could only buy 1 item with a Q in my transaction. Such a problem. We waited over 30 minutes for the “big” manager to say that it was ok.

Hate going to Walmart, but usually get great deals w/Q’s. Saturday I took a flier from my Foodland store who was having a Super Saturday Sale and had Kraft Singles 160z (24 slice)pkgs for $1.88 each. Foodland won’t take internet Q’s, so I took the flier to Walmart and bought 10 pkgs of cheese, used 2 $5/5 Kraft coupons and got 10 lbs of Kraft cheese for 0.88 each! Awesome! The day before I got 8 bottles of gain and 8 travel size Olay BW for free, no problems. So sorry to hear yours is so troublesome, perhaps if you do like I do and try to search for the clerks that wore their PJ’s to work?

Also where I live, I don’t have the option of a Target, Raleys, Safeway, WholeFoods,or any of those great sounding stores with so many deals! I’m jealous of that.

I ordered several of the Gain coupons off of Ebay and tried using 3 at Walmart tonight, the lady was SO RUDE! She refused to take them and laughed like I was an idiot for trying to use a $1 coupon on a .97 cent item. She said she was not allowed to adjust it but was really just to lazy and obviously hated her job.

I have never been denied using a coupon and this is my first bad experience trying to use one. I was very disappointed. I wish all the stores would just train their employees to do the same thing so it’s not such a guessing game and I don’t go up to the register trembling thinking hmmm…will they take them today?

The store we went to tonight was different than our usual so I guess I’ll try another ๐Ÿ™‚ Wish me luck! lol.

Oh good luck girl! It was a massive hassle for me too and I left cursing Gain dish soap after my trip ๐Ÿ˜‰ I should have just gone to RA and dealt with them to get it.
