Rite Aid: Nivea + Maybelline Moneymaker

At the gentle urging of a few readers this week, I decided to brave Rite Aid.  I did two incredibly simple transactions and made money on both- so if you are new to Rite Aid this is a super easy way to dip your feet into the drugstore game.  If you are an old pro, we’d love to hear the amazing transactions you come up with!

This week if you buy 2 Nivea items, you get a $2 +Up Reward PLUS they are buy one get one 50% off.

So I found these little tins of lotion at .99 in the lotion aisle and I bought 2.  My total with no coupons and after the sale was $1.60 including tax.  I got a $2 +Up back for a small moneymaker.

Then I went back through the line and bought a Maybelline Great Lash mascara.  These are priced at $5.19 and are 40% off this week- so $3.11 after sale.

I used the $2/1 any Maybelline ad perk coupon and the $1/1 printable coupon and paid a total of .37 with tax!  Then I got a $1 +Up reward back.

So altogether I spent $1.97 on all 3 items and I have $3 to spend on whatever I want at Rite Aid.

See an ongoing list of deals at Rite Aid this week here.

I absolutely LOVE Rite Aid. I may be a little biased because its the only drug store up here in the boonies where I live – but I score a lot of awesome deals with them. I have 4 transactions planned for tomorrow alone and I should make money on all of them!

Yay! I’m so happy to have you jump on the Rite Aid train 😉 To be honest; I find Rite Aid to be super coupon friendly but I guess that varies store to store.

I really need to start shopping at RiteAid more often. I am an instant gratification kind of person so I have a hard time with their rebate program, but now that they have the +Up Rewards I think I need to reconsider doing more shopping there too …. we’ll see. 😉

I’m glad you braved the wonderful world of Rite-Aid……I love it, and they have a great coupon policy. I really love CVS too, I tend to stay away from the “Wal” stores!

Ha! I love CVS but my RA had the nastiest cow that was the manager. She is gone I think now so I might dip an ankle in next week 🙂 I avoid “Wals” still too!

There is $2 off maybeline lip products on redplum as well. It is better than free!!!!! I love Rite Aid too but my Rate Aid store manager does not happy when customers got free stuffs. Now they don’t even except black ink print.

Just a question do you have to do 2 seperate transactions or can you do all in one? I want to try rite aid tomorrow.

Tina it just depends on if you want to roll the rewards. I did two because I wanted to test that Nivea and be sure it worked for the reward.

Also, if your CVS has the Nivea coupons there is a $1/1 ANY nivea lotion and that works on the little tins at RA so you could actually use 2 of them and get the items for FREE plus get the $2 UP. One of the coupons will have to be adjusted down. I am LOVING RA this week!!

I haven’t been to walgreens in about 2 months because they were just so hard to work with. I go to rite aid and cvs every week and have great luck at both. I actually get more money makers at rite aid.

HAHA I love that I’m not the only one that stays away from difficult stores. The only problems I tend to get now are at my Vons because my printed Q’s almost always have issues not scanning, but I still go. I hate Wags, they have to have some amazing deal for me to step foot there . Rite Aid never gave me problems . And CVS is my store. 🙂

Does anyone know where I can get a $5/$25 coupon other than the ad perk? I didn’t see it on the Red Plum site anymore.

I was a CVS girl for a long time, but now with Rite Aid’s Wellness card and the UP rewards I LOVE Rite Aid.

I have a love-hate relationship with RA but I have to say the deals are AWESOME!
Yesterday I did the J&J deal, paid $12 OOP and got back $22+UP plus $2SCR…gotta love when you get paid to shop!

The only problem you might encounter with rite aid is that the up rewards program is so new that they still have computer problems with it on occasion. I did the air wick/ lysol spend 30 get 10 off deal last week and didn’t get my 10.00 back. But it turned out that nobody did! So I called customer service, and they new exactly what was going on and are mailing me a 10.00 gift card. So, they aren’t quite pros like CVS yet, but they still have the best deals!

Not a fan of Rite Aid…I never have any luck. I go early in the week, but the stores in my area run out of the sale items so quick and they don’t restock. I missed out on the Neutrogena a few weeks back, the Gain dish detergent last week, and have been trying all week to find the 99 cents Nivea creams with no luck…
