Raley’s Trip $25

I went to Safeway yesterday and as soon as I stop pouting over being hideously overcharged I will get that trip posted.

In the meantime I wanted to get my Raley’s trip up because I thought the e-coupons this week were really good!

2 Fuze Drinks .99 each- get a free fruit cup ($2.99) with purchase (lots of people have found tearpads at CVS for these!)
Fruit Cup- Free
Vegetable Broth $2.99
Bel Pastry $2.99- Free with coupon
Carrots $1.58
Apples $1.94
White Nectarines $1.32
Jennie O White Turkey $1.99 with Raley’s coupon
Celery $1.29
Nectarines $1.56
French Bread $1.78
Milk $2.79
Milk $2.89 (lesson learned- apparently you need to buy the same kind to get them for $2.50 each)
Boneless Chicken Tenders $6.36- Used $5/1 Raleys coupon
Black Angus Roast $6.81- Used $5/1 Raleys coupon

So while the Foster Farms and the Black Angus are grossly overpriced this week- if you can find the super small packages I think this works out to a good deal. My chicken was almost 1lb on the nose- so $1.36/lb and the beef was just shy of 2lbs which makes it less than a $1/lb. ย I thought the Jennie O was a great deal as well at $1.99 for 2 lbs- that is less than $1/lb and it will make a very fast dinner next week.

I love how you show pictures of the already-been opened milk! Your kiddos must be like mine– milk monsters! ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice shopping trip! Thank’s for all your hard work on this site, it really makes my shopping trips super easy. I completly have sympathy over being overcharged on a shopping trip. I usually do the same thing, untill I remeber that I am still probably only paying half of what I would have been paying last year, before I started using coupons and sale cycle’s on everything. So brush it off girl, your doing great!

I think that too Jessica- but I just get irritated when people waste my time. That is really what gets me- is that I took the time to get the coupons, plan the trip, do the shopping and then someone is too careless to bother to scan them. I asked him twice if he had and both times he said yes. Now I have to drag 2 bags of groceries back to the store to correct it and I would much rather spend my time doing other things. ๐Ÿ˜› Sometimes I just figure- ah well it will all work out in the end but this time it is almost $20 which is really a huge mistake.

Im sorry to hear about your unpleasant trip, I know the feeling all to well. I have been in such a funk over coupons this week I could just scream! I can’t even look at my coupon organizer (does anyone ever feel that way too , or is it just me?) anywhoo I decided since I was pretty stocked up on meat and a few snack items that I was gonna stay clear from any grocery stores and leave the coupons home (dun, dun, dunnn) instead I made a trip to our fabulous $.99 cent only store because they have wonderful grocery items there, and alot are name brand . Along with great produce and bread . I got a cart full , todays special finds for me were the lunchables sub sandwiches 3 for .99 ! And the Oreo fudge creams .99 I saw these at wal mart the other day for almost 3 bucks! I guess Im just saying if you get in a IM OVER COUPONS mood theres always other ways of saving. Thanks for this blog though Im a loyal reader . ๐Ÿ™‚

That is what I hate about Safeway- their receipts are a mess and their clerks seem terribly uninformed. I try to study the receipt before I leave the store, but not everything is labeled well. Last week, I had to go back inside just to get my receipt. (There should be some kind of freebie policy about that like there is at Taco Bell) I have been shopping more at Safeway lately after following your blog, but I wish I could get the same deals at Raley’s. I would much rather spend my dollars there.

I know Christina- that happens to me from time to time. I think Raley’s made me happy again though ๐Ÿ™‚ Such a great deal on meat! That stinking Safeway cashier actually made me take out every single item to match to each coupon too before he’d scan the coupon. Irritating as heck and the people behind me were about 10 seconds away from throwing a rotisserie chicken at his head ๐Ÿ™‚
PS: .99 for Oreos- whoo hoo!

LOL ๐Ÿ™‚ I have a cashier just like that at my VONS she irritates me . She has to look at every coupon before scanning any , and also checks each item to make sure it’s right! I stay clear from her register if I can although the other day they only had one register open (AAAHHHHH) and it was her , sooo annoying and to top it off she said I couldn’t use one of my printed Q’s because my ink was low so it was very light but she didn’t even try to scan it (what?), I was over her so I just put back the item instead of arguing.

Are you going to post your weekly meal plan anymore? I miss it!!! You always had such yummy ideas!

I still can’t get over the 50 cents I got overcharged at Safeway last week with the apple juice. The cashier didn’t scan the coupon to make it $1.29 instead of the regular $1.79…Gosh!!! it bothers me sooo much!!! so I can sooo feel you pain of being overcharged $20!!!!!

And when the e-coupons don’t work…grrrrr!!!! The thing is that they usually work…it is such a gamble with e-coupons, but when they work, boy they can even be MMs usually…

Judith I probably would just let .50 go but not $20. You know you can keep that in ad coupon and your receipt in your wallet and just take it back next time.

Did you all know that if SW registers ring up a different price than what the shelf says, it’s free. That happened with tortillas and prunes. I even had e-coups so it was a great deal in the end, but a pain in the you know what.

Amy you are the only one that reads the menu plan ๐Ÿ˜› I think I will this week. We have been eating some good stuff lately.
