Happy fall everyone! Of course in California it is still sunny and warm- but I absolutely love this time of year and all the fun activities it brings.
We went to the Pumpkin Patch today- which was definitely not frugal- ($6 pony rides!). But the girls had a great time and this is exactly why we use coupons and watch our budget so carefully. I love having the freedom to spend a little extra here and there on the things that really matter to us.
We had a great day and I am especially tickled with myself for using my phone to get a few posts up today and not totally embarrassing myself by making a mess of MFA.
And in case you aren’t counting- just 96 more days in 2010! Christmas will be here before we know it and I encourage you to start planning ahead so that you can relax and enjoy the holidays.
PS: Are those the grossest looking pumpkins ever or what?

I am so jealous of the nice weather you guys are having! Today we went Canoeing and I think we almost froze!
Oh I was sweating to death in jeans today! I am ready for nice brisk weather!
Hey Charlene, were you at Bishop’s Pumpkin Farm? I love that place. In fact, we’re going there next Sunday.
YUP! This weekend no parking fees 🙂
Your girls are so precious! And I can’t wait to get a picture of my baby girl amongst some pumpkins. I’m gonna use it as her 1 year photo since her birthday is Nov 3rd! Gosh, has it been that long? The girl amazes me every day! I look at her today and can’t believe she was a tiny 1 lb 10 oz and 13.5 inches long at birth …. sorry about taking a public trip down memory lane! But I am just so proud of her! 🙂
Great pics & looks like you were all having a great time!
your girls are so cute!!
Charlene,
You crack me up. I especially enjoyed your comment about “coupons being stank this week”. Funny stuff. Looks like a great fall day in Californ-eye-ay! Cute kiddos! P.S. Two CVS I visited didn’t have the Oral B toothbrush. In fact, they said it’s a new item and they may or may not get it. I guess the dental care sections of CVS are all getting a new look this week. I did get a raincheck though, just in case. 🙂
So fun! Cute pics. We have $$ budgeted for a family activity this month. I’m stealing your idea and we’re going to go get a pumpkin at our local pumpkin patch. What’s UP with those pumpkins???
Cute pictures! I so agree with saving on the consumables, so we can spend more on frivilous things like making memories for our children. They are darling!
I heard LA is 113 degrees today! We have the AC on but it’s bearable. I’ve seen other little squashes with bump but never pumpkins. Happy fall!
The pumpkins are kinda ugly, but at least they exist! Maybe no canned pumpkin shortage this year????
We loved going to Bishop’s when we lived up that way…we are going to have to find a new place here in Texas this year! I loved the apple cider slushies and caramel apples they sold there…yum!
