Today is good neighbor day and many FTD florists will be giving away free or discounted flowers.ย The concept is to keep one flower for yourself and pass the rest of them on to someone else to brighten their day and foster friendship and community spirit.
There is a list of participating florists available here, I would suggest calling and asking them if they are participating in Good Neighbor Day.
I remember posting this last year but I don’t remember getting much feedback, so if you decide to check it out let me know how it works for you!
PS:ย I don’t think most florists will deliver flowers to you for free, I am pretty sure you will need to go in and pick them up.

Aw, man, what a cool idea! Kudos to FTD…unfortunately there are no participating florists in my area (if you follow the FTD links, they have a list broken up by state of all those participating today). I’d love this since I’m a Hallmark-card-giving, flower-sharing junkie!

Unfortnately, no florists in Houston, Texas are participating. That’s unfortunate. You’d think in the 4th largest US City, there would be at least one florist who would participate in good will. Oh well, I guess they’re concerned with profit and who can blame them.
