CVS Update: Free Tylenol

09/12/2010 By Charlene 13 Comments

This post may contain affiliate links, please see my disclosure policy.

I just wanted to update the scenario for Tylenol this week at CVS.

I printed the $2 off coupon which I thought was a manufacturer coupon but it is actually a CVS store coupon.

Buy 1 Tylenol Precise Cream or Heat Patches $5.99
Get $2 ECB
Use $2/1 printable (this is a retailer coupon or CVS store coupon)*
and Use $2/1 from 9/12 SS or printable
Final Price: Free!

See the complete list of CVS deals here.

Thanks Nicole!

*This coupon might be a bit of a headache. It clearly says CVS and retailer, but the bottom says to redeem “at food, drug or discount centers accepting coupons”. So I might not make a special trip just for this product. Let us know how it works out for you.

I’ve tried to use these last time and the cashier told me that I
can only use one of them. I did point out that one is a Retailer
& one is MFR and she said that I was commiting fraud trying to
use two coupons for one item.

Well that is a very strong and very unfounded accusation Debbie. I would call customer service and complain about that one. How rude.

Do you have CVS’s corporate number? I tried to use both and was also told they were both manufacture’s coupons and would like to hear corporates explaination…. The cashier was polite about it but was uncertain were the coupon came from because she said CVS coupons only come from the scanner and emails, so I felt she was accusing me of fraud or something when she asked where I had gotten it from.

Amber it is listed on the back of your Extracare card.

    Amber,

The cashier is wrong about where coupons can come from…I have gotten a few in magazines, and they have CVS printables right on their website. Right now they are all for CVS brand items, but they have had other ones that were CVS coupons you could stack with mfr. I know because I stacked a huggies jean diapers cvs and mfr. coupon a few months ago. I would call if I were you!

The way CVS cash registers are set up is that it will beep at you if you try and use 2 coupons for the same item (manufacturer’s). However, if you use a manufacturer’s coupon and a store coupon, it won’t beep. I work at CVS and I will give it a go tomorrow and see what happens. If it’s really a store coupon, it will work, no problem. I’m sorry you guys had bad experiences, you wouldn’t at my store ๐Ÿ™‚

I have been able to do this deal twice now (one tonight and one a couple weeks ago). My CVS cashiers accepted both coupons without a problem.
Also- Check your endcaps around the Pharmacy section. I recently found $2 Tylenol Precise manufacturer coupons there.

I have 3 CVS stores close to me and they are all very nice and coupon friendly, lucky me! They never give me a hard time about any coupons.I used the printable “retailer’s coupon” and the coupon from the newspaper together–no problem. The full ad that printed out says redeemable only at CVS, but I never had to show that to the cashier, he let me use them without question.

I got accused of coupon fraud once at Rite Aid by the store manager for trying to use a bygo on a bygo sale. I called corp from the register and they told her she was wrong and she still acted like a you know what, lol. It amuses me that the customers know some of the policies better than the managers! ๐Ÿ™‚

I get the Sac. Bee and can’t find the 2.00 Tylenol Precise coupon anywhere! Anyone else get it that gets the Sac Bee?

I get the sac bee and I didn’t get the coupon either. I did get a printable and was able to do the deal at my cvs using both the “retailer” and manufacturer printable coupons. My CVS is fairly coupon friendly.

Thanks Stephanie! I printed one off of Tylenol’s website ๐Ÿ™‚

TJ I don’t know but when you find it pass it along to me ๐Ÿ™‚ I don’t think they have a published one.
