There are two deals to mention at Toys R Us this week.
The first is a free Halo Reach Collectible Card from 8/15-8/21. Apparently these cards have coupons for $10 off any Xbox 360 game. I think the card is only valid 8/15-8/21 but reader Courtney said she found a game on clearance for $9.98 and got it for free with the coupon!
I have no idea if you will find a good clearance game as well but $10 off seems like a good coupon if you have an Xbox.

They are also offering a $10 credit toward any Disney DVD or Blu Ray when you pre-order Beauty and the Beast. You need to pay a $5 deposit which is then credited toward your purchase of Beauty and the Beast when it is released. OR you get a $10 gift card when you reserve Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue. For Tinkerbell you need to pay a deposit of $10 to get the $10 gift card and then that $10 is also credited toward your future purchase.
So here is a deal idea:
Buy 1 James and the Giant Peach at $29.99 for Blu Ray Combo pack*
Reserve your copy of Beauty and the Beast $5 deposit
Subtotal: $34.99
Get a $10 credit toward a new DVD when you reserve Beauty and the Beast
Use $10/1 James and the Giant Peach Blu Ray coupon
Final Price: $14.99
Now you can choose if you want to get the Beauty and the Beast when it is released in October- hopefully they have coupons to make the deal better.
The price of the Blu Ray combo pack for Beauty and the Beast is $29.99- so your $5 deposit it going to be credited toward that amount.
If you decide to buy the Beauty and the Beast Blu Ray when it is released here is an idea:
Buy Beauty and the Beast Blu Ray Combo pack at $29.99
Get $5 credit toward your purchase from the deposit you made previously
Final Price: $24.99 (unless coupons are offered!)
If you happen to own a DVD from Disney right now, you can for sure go through the upgrade process and get a coupon for $8 off a Blu Ray
That would make the total $16.99
So this works out to a great deal if you want James and the Giant Peach. If you don’t want that specific movie you can buy any Blu Ray at $19.99 or more- (note- typically the Blu Rays are priced at $24.99 )- you basically pay $5 and get a $10 credit. Then you still have your $5 deposit for later if you choose to buy Beauty and the Beast.
*I would be sure to CALL AHEAD and confirm your store has James and the Giant Peach. I had to call several stores to find one that had it in stock! One other note is to be sure your store takes internet coupons. The majority do but I always hear about a few stores that do not accept them- so please call ahead if you aren’t sure so you don’t waste a trip!
NOTE #2: DO NOT print your James coupon until you are ready to use it!! I printed mine and it expires TOMORROW (8/17).
