Not a very exciting trip this week since I barely used any coupons.

TARGET: $6.35

I actually went to Target last week because we were headed out of town.  I got the 5 boxes of Morningstar items for $6.  I went tonight and got an extra loaf of bread for .35.

SAFEWAY:

I did 3 transactions.

T#1:

2 Glad bags $2.49- Used (2) $2 off coupons= .49 each
Mission Tortillas $1.99- used e-coupon and .75/1 coupon= .69
Vegetable Broth $2.49
Half and Half $1.69
Lucerne 6pk Yogurt $1.69
Lucerne 6pk Yogurt $1.88 with in ad coupon
Milk $2.59
Ground Beef $5.95
Plums $1.44
Grapes $3.62
Cucumber .99
Celery $1.25
Cauliflower $1.99
2 Mushrooms .99 each with in ad coupon
Shallots $1.69
2 Eating Right Salads $2.99/2 (already ate one)
2 Carrots 1lb $1.99/2
Danish Blue Cheese $3.99

I used a $1 off produce coupon and paid $39.89

Then I did this:

4 Kraft Deli Cheese $1.99 each*
1 large Kraft Shredded Cheese $2.49 with in ad coupon- used $1 off coupon peelie
Bananas $1.77- Used $1 off produce coupon
Safeway Bread $1.50- used $1 off coupon
Total: $7.72 and I got a $5 catalina back for the Kraft

Transaction #3:

Ground Beef $5.83- used the $5 cat = .83

So the total was just under $55. I have been thinking about increasing our budget to $60 a week. I really want to add a few more extras in each week like better cheeses and I noticed we have been running out of proteins before my sale cycle circles back. So this week we did $55 and I will just see what next week brings.

*I messed this up.  I thought it was buy 5 Kraft cheese and get them for $1.99 but the bagged cheese did not count.  So I actually went to customer service to buy a 5th Deli Deluxe cheese and they just wound up giving me a $1 back for each pack instead.  (very nice!)

I made the exact same mistake with the Kraft cheese, but I didn’t have time to go back to the store and fix it. I wish they would label this better in the store.
