Well boo! This week stinks at Savemart.
anyone having a hard time with sm taking internet coupons? i did, i was there yesterday and they refused to take my yoplait yogurt ip coupons. they said they no longer take ip coupons because of too many fraudulent coupons. i understood but i was very disappointed so i asked them for the corporate office #, the store mgr. came out and explained that they’ve had some fraudulent coupons come through and some people were getting stuff for absolutely free. he was very nice and polite about the whole thing, looked at my coupons and told me he would honor it. i, in return, was very polite when i told him i’m only interested in letting sm corporate know how this (refusing to take ip coupon) might have an impact on some of their “couponing” customers. i love to see local businesses, such as sm, do well so i hope they’ll reconsider.
So I just seriously had a AWESOME trip to Savemart. They have “Buy 10 Participating Items and Earn $20 in Savings” Kelloggs, Keebler, Sunshine. I stocked up on cereals….bought 10 boxes (with Kellogg’s coupons via the Kellogg’s site) $2.98 each, $10 instant savings=$1.98 PLUS I got a $10 coupon towards my next purchase. Works out to be about .50cents a box. I did this 3 times, rolling the $10 coupon into the other purchases.
I am going to do the Savemart deal tomorrow. I think the Cinnabon cereal bars are part of the buy 10 save 10, plus get a $10 cat. There was a coupon for $1 off in the 8/22 Parade (Sacramento Bee), so that means free. I figure I will get a couple boxes of cereal, so I might spend a dollar or two. I am going to use the $10 cat to stock up on bread.
