You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right HERE. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

I can’t get the Hostess link to work, I registered and I get a msg saying no coupond avail…something like that ๐Ÿ™

  2. Charlene says

    08/17/2010 at 7:46 PM

Jennifer I didn’t try it but apparently you put in your email and then they email you a link to a coupon?

  3. sarah says

    08/17/2010 at 8:04 PM

I was at Safewat tonight to stock up on fruit snacks and cereal. I also bought 2 half gallons of the almond milk and there were peelies on the cartons for $1.00 off!!! Awesome!

  4. timmsa says

    08/17/2010 at 8:04 PM

I have a question for you, if you sign up with cell fire and you input your card number for safeway do you have to scan your card at the register or can you use your phone number?
I lost my card and now just use my phone number

  5. Kelly says

    08/17/2010 at 8:17 PM

The link for $1.50/4 Congra link is showing up as expired for me, boo ๐Ÿ™

  6. Charlene says

    08/17/2010 at 8:25 PM

Timmsa when I registered for Cellfire I didn’t even have a cell phone so I have always used my home number. I give my home number at the store too.

You will need to have the number off your card to register the first time- so you have to call Safeway customer service and get that and then you can register.

  7. Charlene says

    08/17/2010 at 8:25 PM

Sarah did you buy the milk in the same transaction and get 2 cats?

  8. sarah says

    08/17/2010 at 8:56 PM

No, I split up everything into 2 purchases. I did get the cat for $3.00 off with each purchase. I rolled the first one into the second purchase, and I have another to use later this month. It was better than free! Yay!

has anyone been able to find a glade diffuser @ safeway? I went to the one closer by me, no dice, just lots of candles. (too afraid of matches and starting a fire, EEK!)

  10. Amanda says

Hi Charlene! I have noticed that the last two times I’ve bought things where e-coupons came off, they are not removed from my cellfire and shortcuts account. Has anyone else had this? For instance, tonight I went and stocked up on fruit snacks and fiber one bars and cereal, all my e-coupons did come off, but they are all still showing like I haven’t used them yet in cellfire and shortcuts. The same thing happened last week when I bought the Glad bags and Van de Kamps and Steamfresh stuff. Those are all still in my cellfire and shortcuts account as well. Weird! Would they come off again if I were to go back in and buy the same items? P.S. thanks for posting these safeway deals…it sure helps me out!

i wonder if we can buy generic brand cereal with the almond breeze and still get the catalina haha

  12. Charlene says

    08/17/2010 at 10:41 PM

Yes you can- any cereal. I usually find with coupons the brand name stuff is cheaper than generic though.

  13. Charlene says

    08/17/2010 at 10:42 PM

Hmm. not sure on that. I don’t think so because I did the fruit snacks one 3 times and they didn’t keep coming off. But maybe you have the magic refillable account and it will work for you ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe the e-coupons just take awhile to update?

  14. Michelle says

    08/18/2010 at 12:21 AM

I’m not sure which insert it came from, but I have another $2/1 Cheer Coupon (exp 8/31) so that makes the Cheer $1.99!

  15. Beth B. says

    08/18/2010 at 6:25 AM

Amanda, sometimes that happens to my card as well. Not always, and a few times I’ve been able to re-load that coupon after I use it. I just consider it a glitch in the system, and great luck! ๐Ÿ™‚ To bad it doesn’t happen to everyone!

  16. Denise says

    08/18/2010 at 7:35 AM

The frozen bag of chicken is also $1.88/lb (based on online price). Load the $2 e-coupon and use the $2 off in the Grilling Book and you should get some pretty cheap chicken.

  17. Charlene says

    08/18/2010 at 8:00 AM

Oh Denise I saw that new e-coupon! So exciting ๐Ÿ™‚

  18. Charlene says

    08/18/2010 at 8:04 AM

Michelle, I will keep looking for the coupon. I couldn’t find any Cheer coupons anywhere.

  19. Denise says

    08/18/2010 at 8:46 AM

One correction re. frozen chicken – The coupon in the Grilling Book is a $1 off. Still $1.13/lb, which is the lowest I have seen. Hopefully the e-coupon will work. It usually does.

  20. Denise says

    08/18/2010 at 8:56 AM

There is a $0.55/1 off Sargento deli sliced cheese in the MDA Booklet that you can use with the Cellfire e-coupon. Should be a good week at Safeway!

  21. Michelle says

    08/18/2010 at 9:26 AM

    Hi Charlene,

I love your blog and follow everyday. Thank you.

I am wondering what zip you are using to get the coupons b/c my area, says none avail.?

    Many thanks,
    Michelle

  22. Charlene says

    08/18/2010 at 9:36 AM

I am not sure which coupons you mean? I am going to guess the P&G ones and if you don’t see any it typically means you have not registered or you have missed a step when you registered. There is no zip code needed- they should all come up when you click the link if you are registered.

  23. Malisa says

    08/18/2010 at 11:17 AM

    Charlene,
Curious if you know of any coupons to match up with the Honey Bunches of Oats that were 1.99 on the add? I’m in the Sacto Area. Thank you so much!

  24. Charlene says

    08/18/2010 at 11:36 AM

Mailsa there was a $1.50/3 coupon in 7/25 SS I found which made them $1.49 a box. I don’t bother with anything higher than .99- but if you love that cereal it doesn’t go on sale that frequently. The coupon was for 2 boxes of cereal plus a gallon of milk.

  25. Courtney J says

    08/18/2010 at 8:04 PM

I was doing a quick trip to Winco this week and saw that their Almond Milk is 2.48 for a half gallon! Paired with the 1.00 catalina q’s that are printing at Safeway or the 1.00 peelies around there and 1.48 is a GREAT deal especially if you don’t need anymore cereal

  26. Jordan says

    08/20/2010 at 1:19 PM

I think the $2 Cheer coupons were in the Parade from Sac Bee, maybe 8/15? I got them too!

  27. Jojo says

    08/21/2010 at 11:37 AM

HEADS UP LADIES! on the totinos website here: http://www.totinos.com/share.aspx , there is a coupon for $1 off 2 products. all you have to do is send it to 3 different emails and you get to print the coupon! its instant! Print 2 and paired them with the $1 off 5 on shortcuts and cellfire and you can get 5 pizzas for $0.95!

also, the cheerios 14oz original box are on sale for 2 for $5. For those of you who have the 0.55 on cellfire and can print the $1 off 1 from the emails they sent you (or if you can find peelies) , this can go well with the almond breeze catalina deal making the cereal only 0.95. print the $1 off a carton of almond breeze here http://www.almondbreeze.com/index.cfm?navid=355 and (assuming the price is 3.29 at your store, this makes everything 0.24 after the catalina!

  28. Danielle says

Just a heads up about the Nabisco 100 Calorie Pack catalina: twice I bought 4 boxes, and the catalina printed, but for $1 instead of the $2. They store just adjusted my total accordingly (I was rolling it anyhow) but you might want to check your cats if you haven’t spent them. ๐Ÿ™‚

  29. C says

    08/23/2010 at 1:07 PM

The DelMonte Fruit Cups – Buy 4 with in-ad coupon at $1.49, get $1 catalina off your next shopping trip at Vons, just did this one.
