Just a reminder of the great deal I mentioned earlier this week. Office Depot has the Brother Laser Printer on sale this week for $49.99. Typically I find this printer on sale for about $60- so this is really a fantastic buy.
This is the printer I have and my experience for the past 18 months has been fantastic. I have heard from a few people about issues with the paper feeder- but I have not experienced that at all. The toner is roughly $30 and I buy about 3 a year. The only complaint I have is that when it is out of toner it just stops printing. No warning! So I usually keep an extra on hand.
This is black and white only but I get super fast and crystal clear coupons every single time.
You can order online and delivery is free with a $50 order. Just add an eraser, pens or a pencil for $1 or less to hit that $50 mark.
If you have other items to buy use promo code 932378197 to save 10% (this excludes technology items). You can also try code: 477200537 to save 10% on ink and toner.
You can shop direct through Office Depot here or register for Ebates and type in Office Depot. Then click through and shop as usual. You will get 2% back on this purchase plus a $5 bonus for new accounts. This will come in the form of a rebate check quarterly.

hi! from your experience, would you recommend the 2 yr protection plan for $23?
Here’s a tip on the toner… Most times it’s really not out of toner. Take a piece of black electrical tape and put it over the sensor hole on the non-gear side of the cartridge. By covering the hole the printer is fooled into thinking the hopper is full of toner and it will keep running until it is literally out of toner and the pages start to fade or have streaks of missing toner. We have the wireless model of this printer which uses the same cartridge. Absolutely love it, but was annoyed at the toner thing. Found this tip on the internet. Anyway, my last cartridge said it was out about 3 months ago. Put the electrical tape on it and it’s still going strong!!!
thanks debbie! I think I am going to purchase this printer 🙂
Monica- I guess if you want piece of mind $23 is not a bad price. I haven’t had any issues with mine and it has been 18 months or so. I think some people said the paper feeder was an issue at 1 year so it might be worth it.
Where do you purchase $30 toner? I can’t find it for less than $50. Just wondering! Thanks!
Anne I only get it 3x a year or so but I buy off Amazon. I have never paid $50- I think $35 was the highest.
