New Safeway/Dominick’s/Randalls Coupon Book (.50 bread, free produce!)

I spotted a new coupon booklet at Safeway today.  You should keep an eye out at all the family stores including Dominick’s, Vons, Randalls, Genuardis etc..

There was a large display piece located near the meat department at my store.  These can be located anywhere in stores so just keep your eyes peeled for the bright blue booklets- here is what you will find inside:

*$1 off Kraft Mayo or Miracle Whip or Kraft Sandwich Shop Mayo (manufacturer coupon) expires 8/31

*$1 off Ritz Toasted Chips, any (manufacturer coupon) expires 8/31

*$1 off Kraft Dressing (manufacturer coupon) expires 8/31

*$1 off Claussen Pickles (manufacturer coupon) expires 8/31

*$1 off Safeway Buttertop Bread (Homestyle, white or wheat)- Safeway coupon expires 8/31

*$1 off any produce item with minimum $5 purchase- Safeway coupon expires 8/31

Now that produce coupon says “$5 minimum purchase” it does not say $5 minimum produce purchase.  So you should be able to score some free or very cheap veggies!  Grapes are .77/lb this week at my store, Cauliflower is $1.99, I found 1lb bags of Eating Right carrots for $1.99- BOGO, and celery for $1.25.

Also my store has the Safeway Buttertop breads on sale this week or $1.50.  This was on the front page of my ad- so they are just .50 a loaf after coupon!  Grab a few and you can toss them in the freezer.

You have to buy $5 in produce to use the save $1 on produce…learned the hard way…

my store doesn’t have the MDS book or this book! I am going to have to visit another store!!! my husband will ONLY eat Claussen pickles, so I’ve GOT TO GET THOSE COUPONS! 🙂 I’m on the hunt!

Really? Last time my coupon said $1 off a $5 produce purchase and this time it doesn’t. I used the coupon today but it was over $5 in produce. I will try it again and see what happens with less than $5.

I too have heard from others that the produce coupon beeps unless you buy $5 worth!!

I just got home from Safeway & the produce coupon didn’t work for me & I had a TON of produce. I was in Self-check so that might have been part of the issue, but I was able to have the lady over ride it, so there might be a problem with the coupon.

The produce beeped for me and the checker said I had to have $5 of produce (I did use 2 of them though and then the 3rd beeped because there wasn’t $15 worth). I did have the worst checker though–on a beef coupon she said it wouldn’t go through because I had photo copied it–which I did not. It was a looong checkout because I bought a lot..used a lot of coupons.

The produce coupon worked for me this afternoon with $1.60 worth of grapes, but the checker did have to adjust the coupon to 1.00. Every time she scanned a safeway coupon (the bread and produce) it rang up as -0.01 not $1.00, so be sure to watch their computer when these coupons are scanned. But really a great deal and a great coupon book to keep your eye’s open for. Thanks for the heads up.

Update: I did try using the produce coupon- I spent $1.77 or so on bananas and bought other items that were not produce. The $1 off produce coupon worked. It might depend on your cashier- I used U Scan.

Coupon worked for me! I didn’t have $5 of produce either. All Store coupons show -1¢/+1¢ when scanned then when you or the cashier hit total it will show the correct coupon amount at the bottom. Freaked me out too the first time I saw it.

I could not find that coupon book ANYWHERE in the store 🙁 All they had on display was the “grill it” coupon book.
