Update: The site has crashed due to high demand. You can enter your email to be notified when the site is back up but I would recommend continuing to refresh and see if you can get it to come up for you. The deal will likely be sold out soon so I would not wait if you are interested! I would at least be sure to register so you are ready once it is available again.
There is an awesome Groupon today! You can order a $50 gift certificate to the Gap for just $25! Remember there are limited numbers of these deals available each day- so it might very well sell out.
Sadly, there is a limit of 1 per person- but you have plenty of time to use it- they don’t expire until November 19th.
You do need to spend $50 at once and it isn’t valid at Gap Outlets, Factory stores or online. You actually have to hit the store. But this is just perfect for Back to School shopping! They will have winter things in the stores soon too so you can get ready for the winter with all the new items at half off! Many of you might have tax free weekends coming which makes this an even better deal!
So you can’t combine this with other discounts- but it is valid on clearance items and sale items in store. If you don’t use it up, you can redeem it for a $25 gift card to Gap stores. So basically you can sort of get your money back in the form of a gift card just in case.
This should be available nationwide 8/19- but I can already see them on the East Coast cities. I just bought one from Knoxville.
To get this offer just log in or register at Groupon, then select your city. If you don’t see the offer you can click on “Visit More Cities” in the center of the screen and click on Knoxville. Then once you buy the Groupon, they will add the certificate to your account. You should be able to print it and take it to the store!
Thanks Fashion Cents for Mom!

Oh! Great deal:) Do you think they’re redeemable at Baby Gap as well?
I am hoping Stephanie- the terms say:
Not valid online or at Gap Outlet, Gap Factory Store or The Gap Generation stores. Not valid on Keds® and Robeez®, or diaper bags and strollers at babyGap.
So that makes me think it will be valid there. The Knoxville one isn’t locked yet so I can’t see the actual certificate in my account until it is.
The deal is on in Orlando.
how about gap body? 🙂
I have never used a groupon before. I just want to make sure the store really accepts them. I love the Gap and this is a great deal!
I wonder if we’re going to be able to use it with the 30% give and get coupon. I hope so. 🙂
Right now the whole site is down since too many people were trying to get the coupon.
FYI, the site is down right now because it is so popular, but if you enter your email address they will email you when it’s back up.
Anabel- possibly but probably not. It says no other offers can be combined. Certainly worth asking though!
Sarah- you will not have any problems at all. This deal is going to be insane and there is no chance the Gap will be able to deny thousands and thousands of people. Don’t worry 🙂
PS: I just saw emails Gap sent out directly too. There is no chance they can deny these coupons. There were 1700 purchased last night at 10pm when I posted this offer in NYC alone- that was one hour after it went live in just one city. There will be tens of thousands of these sold already and more if they get the site back up :).
Charlene thank you so much I have heard all about how great groupons are. This is definitely a great deal:)
is the coupon restricted by the city where you got the groupon? I got my notification through email. 😉 like if you get it through chicago, it is only good through chicago?
NOPE! Nationwide so it does not matter what city you buy from. I bought from Tennessee last night and have no intention of flying there to save $25 🙂
I did see a comment from a Groupon staff member that it CAN be used at Gap Baby, Gap Body etc.. etc.. just not the other stores like Banana Republic.
Here’s another idea…tell me if you think it won’t work. It says if you don’t use it by the Nov deadline, they’ll turn it into a gift card. Now, with that gift card I can use other coupons/discounts. Hmmm…seems like it might be worth letting it expire if you can.
Jennifer- that is my thought. I’d rather have the $50 which is 50% off and probably better than any coupon they will issue. But I think if I don’t use it, I can always cash in and pass it on as a gift.
