how does shop at home work?? i use proactive, but don’t really know what shop at home is….

Allison it is a cash back rebate site. So you register and then buy through them- what that means is go to Shop at Home and then click on the little image that looks like the one I pictured- it says 80% cash back. You will be redirected to the Proactive site by clicking on their button.
Then place your order like normal. You will pay $20 or so. Then in your shop at home account in a few days they will credit a $5 bonus for registering and then they will credit 80% back which is $16 or so. So you get $21 in your account. Then at the end of the quarter they will cut a check for $21 to you and mail it right to you! You can take it to the bank and cash it just like a normal rebate.

    Does that help?

Beware of Proactiv! I was charged a couple of hundred dollars and I am still going back and forth with them to be refunded. Just want to say proceed with caution!

it sounds great but I would be worried about trying to cancel when its all over, I would hope to not be barreled over by a sales pitch. 🙂 otherwise its a good idea!

it does, so they have deals like this all the time? and I can just shop through them and get money back??

You don’t need to worry about Shop at Home again. So just go back to proactive.com and cancel the membership 🙂

For the most part. You can sign up for Ebates too- they are the same thing and sometimes one has better cash back and other times the other does. You can just compare. It does not work when you have promo codes that are not directly released by the company. So if I tell you about a Target code for example you won’t get cash back. If you go to target.com and a promo code is right there for free shipping or something- you will get cash back.. Sometimes I mention Ebates or Shop at Home and sometimes I don’t for that reason.

Karen- valid concern and I haven’t any idea. I know when I canceled Gevalia- which is a similar deal but with coffee- I didn’t have any problems. So I would hope they wouldn’t be a pain.

Jenn- what for? Did you cancel and they kept charging you?

Yes, that’s what happened. They charged me the fee for 2 months after I canceled as well as “sent” and charged me for a 3 month supply twice in one month. Two of the months, they charged me the monthly fee on the 15th and again on the 18th. At first, customer service told me that it was my fault for the charges. I faxed in my bank statements in May and still haven’t seen any refund.

They have a great product, but my doctor says the “Acne Free” brand you can get at Walgreens is just as effective and reasonably priced, which is why I made the switch.

Wow, this is a very enticing deal. I have unfortunately had bad experience everytime I have purchased through Shopathome though and have to send email after email and then finally call and still they have taken forever, up to 3 and a half months one time, to finally credit me the cash back I had rightfully earned from purchasing through their site. I am going ahead with this purchase though as 80percent is incredible, and am documenting everything this time and making screen prints in case they tell me later they didnt offer the 80 percent cashback. And then hope to not get hasseled when calling to cancel the auto charges and shipments from Proactive.
To Cancel your Proactive Future Shipments, the Number to Call is:
    1-800-235-6050
AND the online order verification said they will Start to Charge you Again 30 Days from the Date you make this first purchase. WOW, they are tricky, as this is supposed to be a 90 Day Supply, but what they say in fine print says they will charge you for your next 90 day supply only 30 days after ordering your first batch.
I am going to start my praying now that All of this goes through bad things dont happen due to my trying to save some good money again. I bought the $29.95 most preferred Proactive Deluxe system as that would give me $23.96 in Shopathome Cashback and that’s enough for them to issue me a future check, which will likely take 3 or more months whenever next quarter end dates are.
Thank you for highlighting this special daily deal. Hope the best to everyone on this.

Jamie- that is such a shame. I got to meet the people from Shop at Home and they were really lovely. I am sorry you had a bad experience.

I loved proactive solution, but just got too pricey for me. I just purchased it for my husband.
