I am going to buy this system for my son for x-mas….I have 1 book from target $3.48! and was wondering how long I should I wait for the system to be a GREAT price? Are there certain times of the year that are better for sales and coupons? (black friday) that I should wait for? Thanks for any advice you have!
Diane, there were some great sales over Xmas. I will probably start posting a lot of toy deals in the next few weeks. If you search leapfrog tag jr in my sidebar you should get an idea of the prices we saw last year. I would just hang tight for now and keep your eye out for more book deals. Those are harder to come by.

I got the TAG system last year for $20 last year, it came with Cat in the Hat. It was regularly $45 I believe. Definitely wait until closer to Christmas because they will go on sale and Leapfrog will likely have a coupon for it. Make sure you sign up on their website because periodically they’ll send coupons. Thanks to MFA we’ve managed to get about 15 books for his TAG for $5 or less per book. They also have a map for TAG now which will hopefully go on sale before Christmas, my son loves maps!
