Target Dollar Spot Clearance

When I was at Target tonight I noticed the Dollar Spot was at 50% off.  I love this time as there are often hidden treasures in the Dollar Spot- the clearance did include Rayovac batteries at .50.

There was a new $1/1 Rayovac coupon in  the 6/20 SS- now you should easily get one pack for free.  Reader Josie said that she bought 4 packs and her $1 coupon automatically adjusted down to the price of the batteries (.25 in her case).    So keep an eye on those receipts!

One tip to the Dollar Spot is that items can often be less than they are priced.  I always drag things over to the price scanner just to double check.

I love how you use the word “drag”. lol– I feel the same way, especially when I have 3 kiddos with me and trying to find a scanner!

Ohhh, I need to check it out, I love stocking up on all the cute little buckets and pots they have cheap for birthday parties, crafts, and craft room storage! Thanks for the heads up!

My Target up here in Oregon was 75% off. I stocked up on D batteries to run the swing for our sweet new baby boy! Should last a few months. But my real question is this, are the retailers supposed to adjust the coupons down? I scored today because our Target had Pampers wipes marked down to $1.97 and I had 6 of the $2/1 Pampers coupons from P&G a couple months ago. I thought I would get overage, helping more on those batteries, but the register automatically reduce the coupon. I’m still more than happy to get the wipes for free, but won’t the retailer get credit for the entire coupon?

The Rayovac coupons did the same to me this evening at my local NorCal store. I purchased six packs @.25 each and had 4 $1.00 coupons. I only received $1.00 credit (4 x .25). So .50 for 24 batteries is still a great deal. Also, I purchased 5 turby hair towels for my daughter who will be leaving for college in the fall. They rang up at the regular price of $2.50 each. I let the clerk know about the sign and he adjusted the price to $1.25 each. Don’t know if the 50% off is only only certain items, but the sign was in front of all of the items I purchased. Watch the register monitor, just in case.
