PS: Any deals that do not require an in ad coupon or rebate, you can try to take the ad to Walmart or Target for a price match on a like item. Most stores will honor competitor’s ads- providing they consider Staples a competitor… (Thanks Jessica!)

    Hi, Charlene,
Do you know if you can use the ink recycling rewards to purchase the backpack and still get the gift card back? I use the ink rewards and still get the rebate checks on the paper and photo paper all the time. However, when I bought the Duracell batteries awhile back that were 100% back in rewards-I didn’t get it since I bought it with the ink recycle reward. (Even though an employee told me I could, they don’t always have the right answer, lol) Either way, GREAT deals at Staples this week, I plan to get there early Sunday. ๐Ÿ™‚

You know I do not know… Maybe drop an email to Staples and check. Then you have it in writing if there are any problems.

I just took my college son out to Staples to pick one out while he was in town tonight. That way I can stop right after church on Sunday and purchase the one he wants. I checked the Staple’s site earlier today and checked their ad for this coming week. If you go there and click on the picture of the backpacks in the ad it will come up with more details. It said that you can do this deal in the store, on the phone and online, so it is easy.

If it is like last year it does take awhile for the rebate to come and is for store credit not an actual check, but it is still a great deal. I got one last year to donate, because I could not get my son to find time to pick one out for himself, so I did not get a super expensive one. This year he has chosen one of the higher priced ones so it will be great to get it for free. I think last year it was up to $100, but did not see those details in the ad or missed them if they were.

I was in Staples tonight and used my $5 off of $25 Staples coupon. The cashier then told me that they took the competitors coupons. The manager reversed my order and re rung it and I used my $10 off $25 from Office Depot. I just printed out my $5 off an avery product from their site. I also printed out coupons for the expo washable dry erase markers from their site and CVS has them on sale for $1.99. That will make them $.99 and that is $4 off the regular price. While I was at Staples, I picked up my limit of Scotch packing tape with my $3 off coupons. YAY! I love this site and all the bargain shopping. Even my 20 year old daughter is getting involved.

I’m confused ๐Ÿ™ so for the easy reabte you get back a check that you can use at Staples? Or you get a Staples Gift card?

Diana it depends. Sometimes you get a gift card and sometimes a rebate. I specified exactly what is what per deal. So the ones that I told you that you get a check- well you get a check that you can take to the bank and cash. For the backpack one I specified that you get a Staples gift card back not a check.

    Charlene,
Thanks for all your hard work! Between the last two weeks I am more than stocked up for my kids’ school supplies–I also have tons of paper and pens and such for my personal use! I am happy to report that I used a $60 ink recylcing reward and purchased a backpack, paper, pens, highlighters, etc… With all the rebates and great deals, I paid ZERO out of pocket and still have a $29.95 Staples gift card coming, and just under $20 in rebate checks.
The $3 per ink cartridge is now $2 starting this month. ๐Ÿ™ Still a great deal to be able to use your rewards and get more rewards. Gotta love Staples!
