This was not a deal in the weekly ad but I received this offer in an email from Rite Aid.  I don’t know if it is available in all areas or just my area- so I wouldn’t make a special trip.  If you are already headed out look for this offer:

Thrifty Ice Cream is $2.99
Get $1 +Up Reward
To make the deal better- Thirfty Ice Cream carries a Real CA seal. So use the .55/1 coupon from 6/6 SS or 5/23 SS
Final Price: $1.44!

I got this same email too! We moved from CA to MI last year and I almost started crying when I got the email (I’m 8 months pregnant, so that could have had something to do with it!) Anyways, I don’t know if any Rite Aids outside of California sell Thrifty ice cream. They certainly don’t here in MI. In our ad, the only ice cream listed is Edy’s for the same price/+Up reward deal.

Chocolate Malted Crunch is my FAVORITE!

This deal was actually mentioned in my ad. My kids love getting scoops from RA!

some of our RA ice creams had .55 peelies attached to them. FYI – the Q has to be pushed through – it beeps when it scans. But, if you show them the CA seal – they push it through no problem.

There is also a downloadable .55 cents coupon on Real California Milk’s website. I used it today to buy the ice cream, and it beeped. The clerk got suspicious, and I thought it was became it was a pdf oupon. If the coupon from SS also beeped, then I’m glad that’s not the problem. Thanks for the information!

Lee those always beep. My suspicion is that there is no way really of coding them specifically to every single Real CA product so they want the cashier to confirm it is Real CA. Does that make sense?

Charlene, what you said makes a lot of sense. I agree that it would be nearly impossible to code every single Real CA product. Today I bought another carton of ice cream with a SS coupon (only found in my local paper on one of those two dates you mentioned). Although it had to be pushed through, I think clerks aren’t as suspicious when it’s not a downloaded pdf coupon. Thank you for your explanation!
