Has anyone else spotted great deals at Safeway this week?
I got cartons of ice cream at Safeway for $1.25 this week too!. They are on sale for $1.99 when you buy 3. Plus I used a $0.75/2 coupon which doubled. Wish I could tell you which ad it was in, but I can’t remember.
I was just at Safeway this morning (Annapolis MD) and they had size 2 Luvs diaper mega packs 2/$5. They were clearanced. They also had boxes of their brand diapers clearanced as well. I’m going to check more Safeway’s around here to check out their diapers too!
I bought some huggies wipes that were on sale for $1.99 and doubled my .75 coupon for them–then looked at my receipt and had an e-coupon of $2 off as well–nice!
Are the P&G coupons the ones that take 24 hours to load to your card? Does anyone know?

On the Oil of Olay deal can’t you use the $1 off of one and the BOGO if you buy 2 items and get them both for .84?
Becky Safeway’s new coupon policy says you can’t use coupons on free items. So according to the coupon policy:
Buy 2 at $2.84
Get One Free with coupon
Final Price: $2.84 for 2
Now you can’t control that $1 e-coupon from coming off your card, so that would bring it down to $1.84 for 2.
I don’t want to post anything that is against the coupon policy- you can try to use the $1 coupon but some stores will catch it and will not allow it.
Ooh – another good deal I saw was balls of Mozzarella Fresca in the deli case were on sale for $2.99 (usually $5.99) and there were coupons right above them for $1 off any Mozzarella Fresca ball or log. (The balls are fairly small – maybe 8 oz? – so it’s only a good deal if you particularly like that type of cheese; my family does.)
Becca I like that cheese too- it is $6.79 for (3) balls at Costco. The balls are 8oz so without a membership that is a good price.
