$4.99 Rebate on Lunchbags at Target

07/19/2010

When I was at Target last night, I spotted these little lunch bags.  My store was almost completely sold out of all the lunchbags- this was one of the few they had left at $9.99.  I noticed those tags on the sides and opened it up to find coupons and a rebate.

The bags have both a manufacturer coupon booklet as well as a free 6 month subscription to Parents magazine.  If you choose not to get the magazine, you get a $4.99 rebate back instead!  So if you get lucky and find one for about $5- it will be free! I noticed this brand (Embark) had bags starting at $3.99 so you might get lucky!

I have been looking for a great lunchbag because I keep waters and quick snacks for the kiddos in my car.  I didn’t think the coupons were terribly exciting- they had items like Horizon Organic Milk, Dole Fruit Bowls, $5 off a Leapster game and a handful of others.  The rebate definitely makes this worthwhile though!

I was at Toys R Us today and they have these there too! You can buy a backpack and get the lunchbox free (TRU deal until 7/25) and then submit for the rebate and have a pretty good deal.

I was at Target last night and made quite a few scores on the 75% summer clearance but I also did find these lunch bags for $3.99 and I will submit for the Parents $4.99 rebate. Hopefully this will net me an overage or at the very least a pretty decent free lunch bag!

Thansk for the heads up Charlene!

Walmart has lunch bags with this promo tag too. I bought one there for $3.00 yesterday & it had the coupons & rebate form inside.

Thanks for the information! I wondered why there was the option to get a “refund” for the six month subscription. Mine’s in the mail now – yippee! (I paid 4.99, the “refund” is for 4.96. Not a bad deal!)
