Shopping Trip

07/31/2010

Share

This week was a little different for two reasons- first I used Safeway’s delivery service this week rather than going to to the store!  Second, I will be out of town from Tuesday-Sunday next week so I really didn’t need anything.  I decided this week to just stock up on some things that are non perishable.

Here is what I did:

SAFEWAY: $40.00

4 bags frozen chicken $7.96 each (16 lbs total)
2 packages Pork Sirloin $9.00
Grapes $2.00
4 Hormel Veggie Chilli .99 each
Frozen Spinach $1.49
1 Organic Iced Tea (I already drank)
My subtotal was $50 and I used a promotional code for $10 off $50. So the total was $40 and shipping was free!  (Check back on Tuesday.  I will have more details about this service and a gift card giveway!!)

RALEY’S: $12.95

6 boxes Raisin Bran $1.99- used (3) $1/2 coupons
4 boxes Flatbread Crackers $1.99- used (4) $1/1 coupons
1 Italian Sausage- Free with coupon
Raley’s cookbook- Free with coupon

I paid $12.90 and got a $10 cat back

Transaction #2:
Organic Veg Broth $$3.29
TGIF Quesadillas $3.99
Orzo Pasta .99
Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon $3.69- Used Free item coupon
French Bread $1.78
Total $10.05 and I used the $10 cat and paid .05!!

I bought the TGIF item just to hit $10 and because there is a try me free rebate. So I spent a total of $52.95 this week and I will get back $3.99 in a rebate.

New Home Made Simple Coupon Booklet

07/31/2010

Share

There is a new link for the Home Made Simple coupon books. These are mailed to you for free and have $35 in assorted coupons for brands like Dawn and Febreeze.  Typically there is a $1 off Dawn hand Renewal coupon.  The small sizes go on sale regularly for .97-.99- so free after coupon.

I wanted to note for Raley’s/Bel Air shoppers that the Keebler Townhouse Flatbread Crackers ARE included in the Kellogg’s sale this week. You essentially get them for free after coupon- just a reminder this is the deal:

Buy 10 assorted Kellogg’s items at $1.99 each
Get a $10 catalina back for your next purchase
Use the $1/1 printables or the .75/1 from 7/11 SS (regional coupon)
and your net after coupon and cat is FREE- .24!!

****

Also I found these new Keebler coupon books on a large yellow School Bus display in my Raley’s store. The school bus had assorted crackers and fruit bars on it.
These coupons make an awesome deal this week at Savemart or Raley’s even better.  (Note: these coupon booklets should show up at stores nationwide not just Raley’s.)

There is a coupon for $2 off school supplies when you buy 2 boxes of Cheez Its. There is also a coupon for $2 off store brand storage bags when you buy 2 Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Corn Pops or Froot Loops. Or a $2 off milk when you buy 2 Keebler cookies.

So at Savemart this week you are paying .77 per item after catalina and instant discount. At Raley’s you are paying .99 per item after catalina and instant discount.

So if you add these coupons into the mix you have a fantastic deal!

Here is an idea:

Buy 4 Keebler Cookies at $1.99
Buy 6 Cheez It for $1.99
Subtotal: $19.90
Get a $10 catalina back for your next purchase

AND use (3) Cheez It coupons to get $6 in free school supplies
AND use $2 off milk coupon to get a super cheap gallon of milk!!

So your final price is $9.90 for 10 boxes of cookies/crackers, $6 in supplies and a gallon of milk will probably be about .75.

****
Note: These coupons will likely attach to the Kellogg’s items so that means they will beep and you probably can’t use additional coupons on top of that. It is worth a shot but I would be prepared to have the other coupons rejected.

Remember you need to mix and match 10 items total to get this offer!  You can see the Raley’s deals HERE and the Savemart deals HERE.

Don’t forget to get your free sausage at Raley’s if you are heading out today!

UPDATED: Reader Amy let me know that only small boxes of Cheez Its are included in the Savemart sale this week.  Those will not qualify for the coupon.  Raley’s has the large 13.7 oz boxes in the sale- so that is the better deal.
