Target: Mrs Meyers Gift Card Deal

I noticed a gift card promotion yesterday at Target.  These are certainly not the cheapest cleaning items out there but I honestly can’t recall ever posting a deal on Mrs. Meyer’s items so  I figured this might be worth mentioning.

Buy 4 items and get a $5 gift card.  They had a number of products ranging from $3.99-7.99- so if you buy 4 items at $3.99, the price is $2.74 after gift card. I can’t find any coupons to make this a better deal- if any of you know of some please leave a comment!

I have always been able to get cleaning items for free or super cheap but we are focusing on more organic and non toxic stuff these days.  We had house cleaners come to the new house last week and I noticed after they left my girls were really coughing and sneezing a lot.  I think the chemicals are way too strong in some of the products they used.

When my oldest was a baby we switched to all natural (or nearly) cleaning products. I rarely find coupons (the recent 7th Generation stuff was great though!) but I’ve found that the cheapest and best products are Bon Ami for sinks and tubs, club soda for windows, and vinegar and water for everything else. It takes a little more muscle to clean your house, but you don’t have to worry. 🙂

I love Mrs. Meyers Cleaning Products and have ordered from the website (they have more scents available on the website). The basil and geranium are my favorites. To make it last longer I do the following:
    1) buy dish soap and dilute with water for hand soap. My sink has an soap dispenser built in with the faucet. I put the water in first, then add a few good long squeezes of the dish soap.
    2) buy the all purpose cleaner and mix with water in your own spray bottle. This is a great counter and sink spray. One bottle of all purpose cleaner has kept me supplied for over a year.

I have been wanting to try this brand and maybe this is my time? I have quite a stockpile of Seventh Generation and BabyGanics products already, so will need to inventory to see what is most needed. I, too, only use natural products 🙂 Please keep the “organic/ natural” deals coming! 🙂 THanks!

We have been focusing on natural cleaners as well… I had a similar experience with me and my girls coughing, and then started thinking it must not be good for our cats and bunny either. I stocked up when Seventh Generation was on clearance! What a great idea to dilute the all purpose cleaner with water to make it stretch… I’m going to do that!
