is it really weird that they make you buy aLOT to save a lot? I don’t think I would buy 8 of any of the things on the list. but i imagine it might be good for say like a kid’s party or PTA meeting. (beats costco!)

8 boxes of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese at .49 with $4 dollars off equals free or a money maker when you use the coupons.

    06/01/2010 at 11:15 PM

Wait Niecesha I want to make sure it is clear- the .49 is AFTER the $4 promotion has already been applied. So they are .99 before the $4 discount.

Do you have any idea off the top of your head which mags the Ronzoni coupons are in? Coupons.com has $.50/2 BC fruit snacks (gushers, foot by the foot or rollups)

Thanks Charlene. I got excited and knew I missed something. Thanks for all the hard work that you do for all of your readers. I really appreciate it!

Oooo! I got the sample packs of cerael too!(trixs, cinnomon toast, and golden grams) in my 3 newspaper with $1.oo off coupons for each kind of cereal, I live in modesto, ca. I can’t even tell you how excited that made me! My boyfriend was laughing at me when he woke up to find me in a pile of coupons and mini boxes of cerael with a smile on my face. I love how the little things in life can make us so happy ๐Ÿ˜€

Cellfire question: I can’t save any of those to my Safeway card. I clicked on my safeway card and the only offer is seasoning salt?
AND Isn’t the buy 8 a mix and match of any combo of 8 works right? 4 boxes of mac n cheese 4 boxes of gushers? Am I wrong?

  8. Charlene says

    06/02/2010 at 7:59 AM

No Kelli you aren’t wrong- buy any 8 mix and match them as you like. You don’t need to buy 8 of one item.

Not to be a stickler, but on a previous comment I made, you said that you believed combining regular coupons with e-coupons was unethical… yet that’s what you have posted in your deals for Safeway… which indirectly implies that you approve.

My ad also had the CAPRI SUN 10 packs included in the buy 8, save $4.00 this brings them down to $1.49 AFTER the $4 off, which is the lowest I have seen them. ๐Ÿ™‚

Tiffany you are partially right. This is a bit of a headache for me actually and I never know which way to go. I suggested combining Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons. I believe what you are referring to is combining the Safeway e-coupons from Safeway.com which are generated by coupons.com with other manufacturer coupons which are typically printed from coupons.com. Since they come from the same company I have a very firm opinion that it is absolutely not the correct thing to do. Personally I think it is a glitch in their system that people are taking advantage of and I have said a few times that I won’t recommend it on my site.

Now combining the Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons are another matter and I have never said that I don’t approve of that. Technically it is probably not the right thing to do either, however neither company has ever given a straight answer about this. Again, stacking these coupons- which are totally different from the Safeway e-coupons- is already pushing it in my opinion. To stack the ones from Safeway.com is going over the line of responsible couponing and I absolutely don’t approve.

Any thoughts on why cellfire says it has no deals for safeway card (except seasoning salt)? Anyone else having the same problem?

Anyone if the Kraft Explosion is included?

  14. Lori says

Just came from Safeway. The $10 off coupon on Alice in Wonderland is supposed to be for the Blu Ray combo, which my Safeway does not carry. However, I went and asked management, and they said they would take the coupon on the regular Blu Ray that they DO carry. The freebies in this are the popcorn, the crackers, the vitamin water, AND $6 TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A ROTISSERIE CHICKEN! The chicken is currently priced at $6.99 at my store.

Combine that with the BOGO Athena hummus (priced at $2.99 at my store), and I sense a movie night coming up!

(Mind you, I would have preferred the DVD combo, but it was hard to turn down the free groceries.)

Well holy smokes Lori! That is a sweet deal- good for you !

Found some Coppertone on clearance for $2.98 at Safeway, and used the $2 coupon from the Safeway May coupon book to make it $0.98. Probably from last years stock though.

Do the SW coupons take off only one per?

  18. Charlene says

    06/02/2010 at 9:04 PM

For in ad coupons Barbara? Well if you go through the cashier and there is a limit on the coupon that you are under you should be fine with one coupon. So if the limit is 4 and you buy 5- the coupon will only deduct the coupon value for 4 of the items. Now when I have gone through U Scan I have had problems with it only taking off for one- so I would suggest paying attention to your receipt before you leave just in case. It is usually pretty easy to see where the in ad coupons came off and you can count them to be sure you were credited the proper amount. Does that make sense?

Got an update on a couple things apart of the Buy8 deal: NV Granola Bars include the Sweet&Salty ($.50/1 mfc), Vlasic Pickles $1.99(there’s an old printable out there),DreamFields Pasta $1.69,Hunts SnackPack pudding $.75(Congra booklet),Mott’s Juice $1.49,B.C. cake mix $.75($1/2 cakemix & frosting, Knorr sides $.79 (mfc in RP’s),Ritz Munchables $1.99(printable). I couldn’t check the Ronzoni because all my store carries is the Healthy Harvest lasanga noddles & they weren’t included. Also the hefty bag deal is still going! Hopes this helps someone ๐Ÿ™‚ & wasn’t confusing.
