Ohh yummy! Reader Maria found Athenos Feta Cheese priced at $2 at Randall’s this week. I checked Safeway.com and they are listed at $2.50 but either way it is a GREAT deal.
There are coupons in the 5/16 SS for $1 off but you have to hurry since they expire 6/30. I would also look around for any metal racks near the deli cases that might hold additional coupons.
Typically feta has a very long shelf life and I haven’t seen it priced this low in months and months. Now is the time for a normal person to grab a few packages and feta obsessed me to get about 10 packages.
Make the deal even sweeter with the blinkies for $1 off bagged salad when you buy Athenos feta. I do not have the blinkie here, so I can’t check expiration date – but believe it is still good.
Oooh! I’ve got some coupons for $1 off bagged salad WYB Athenos feta (found at Lucky) and the Fresh Express salads are $1 at Safeway this week.
Yes I have seen those too but be careful because often times they are codes for Athenos cheese so they might beep. (Both coupons will go to the cheese) Worth a shot!
I love this cheese! I found a package in my fridge that I bought last month- I think it is the low fat version- and it is really good. I only have Shaws and Stop and Shop aroung here but I’ll have to check to see if I can get a great deal on more.
Thankyou so much for posting this. I picked some of this up today with the salad. My awesome Safeway store let me use both coupons. one package of this stuff is not enough though. I’m definatley going back and using every coupon I have because I’m hopelessly addicted to this cheese.
