I noticed the Dollar Spot was down 50% off at my store. You might check your store if you decide to shop next week- usually they move things to 75% off on Dollar Spot fairly quickly.
You might check the seasonal area of your store (usually this is by the grocery aisles)- mine had all the double and value packs they have been featuring recently on clearance. The highlights to me were double packs of Nivea Body Wash marked down to $4.58- if you still have those $4 off coupons that is a great deal!
The other highlight was Gillette Fusion and Venus razors on clearance. Again I did not see these in the razor aisle but rather in the seasonal area- it wouldn’t hurt to check both at your store. The regular Fusion razors were $5.95 on clearance. They also had the single razors with the cardboard backing for $4.24 (the one on the right in photo below).
The Venus razors were also $4.24 but they were the ones with the cardboard backing.
So here is what I did:
I bought 2 Venus at $4.24
I used the $5 gift card coupon when you buy 2 Venus or Fusion razors from 5/2 RP*
Then I used (2) $2/1 Venus coupons from 5/2 P&G
So I made a profit of about .40!
Now you can also use the $1/1 Fusion coupon from 5/2 P&G but you will pay $1.50 for 2 razors.
*The coupon says it excludes disposable razors. I was looking at the cardboard backed razors and I don’t think they are considered disposable. I think the 6-8 ct packs are the ones that are excluded from the coupon.
If you plan to hit Target next week you might have a look!

Also, I went to my Wal Mart today and found they had quite a few beauty/hygiene products marked on clearance (shampoos, deodorants, toothpaste, etc). I picked up a box of L’oreal hair dye that was on clearance for $4, and I used the $3 off any L’oreal hair coloring that (I THINK) was in the 5/16 SS or RP, which made it only $1! I also found Sunsilk volumizing conditioner… clearance for $2, $1 off printed coupon — so that made it only $1 as well. 🙂
I found the purple dot items at my Target for 75% off. I bought some Butterfly and Hummingbird Wildflower Seed mixes and some vegetable and herb seeds. I also found some push up pencil 10 packs for 25 cents a pack to bribe my students with these last crazy days of the year.

thanks for the head’s up on this. I had the $5.00 gc’s and the 2 $2.00 off Q’s and it worked like a charm…
the Venus Embrace with cardboard backing (pink) were priced at 4.24 each = $8.48 (minus $4 in Q’s)= $4.00 but got the $5.00 gc so with tax they were basically free. No extra cartridges come with these razors but still can’t complain about free !!
