You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right HERE. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!

In ad coupons can be stacked at most stores with manufacturer coupons. They do require a minimum $10 pre coupon purchase!

Speaking of the Safeway site, the coupons I load onto my card from their site, which I believe is run by coupons.com, NEVER come off at checkout. I’ve tried to use their chicken coupon and the one for Windex, but they don’t show on the receipt. All of my other e-coupons are fine from Cellfire, etc. Does anyone else have this problem? I seem to have to log in on the Safeway site with a different password than I do with their loadable coupons run by coupons.com. Any help would be appreciated.

How can we find out if the Zingers are included in the Cheetos deal? Do we have to just wait until this weekend?

  4. Charlene says

    05/12/2010 at 8:22 AM

Yes Carla you need to wait until the weekend and then check your store. I don’t have any way of knowing all the SKUs included in the sale plus this is a new item so many stores might not carry it.

there was a Q in Sunday’s paper for $1 off Hormel Always Tender product so i think you can use this Q too for the Hormel BOGO; use 2 Q’s and get 2 tenderloins.

Jaime, I had the same problem last night. I had loaded the $0.50 off Gold Pineapple & $1.00 off 4 lb. Frozen chicken. I purchased both items and neither eCoupon came off. This morning, I called Safeway’s Customer Service at 1-877-723-3929 and told them what happened. They are calling the store I shopped at and I can go and get my $1.50 from the Customer Service.

I also asked the lady what do to in the future, and she said, just call them and they can help take care of it. Make sure you check to see if your coupons are loaded prior to going to the store though, she said that was a good thing I had done.
    Hope this helps!

When I load Safeway coupons that are from safeway on my card ie. ribs, frozen chicken, asparagus, pineapple, etc.. the price of the product on the receipt actually reflects the discounted price… I bought ribs that were on sale for $7.99 recently so it doesn’t say that I got a $2 coupon discount on the ribs.. the price just shows it to be $5.99.. It can be misleading ๐Ÿ™‚

    05/12/2010 at 12:45 PM

I had the exact same problem with the chicken and the pineapple. I’ll be calling, so frustrating when their own system doesn’t work!

  11. Charlene says

    05/12/2010 at 12:49 PM

Elle I agree it does show up strangely on the receipt. Before you call maybe just double check the actual price paid for the item as Elle suggested to be sure.

The Buy 4, Save 4 also includes Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, roll-ups, fruit by the foot, etc. Another included cereal is Crispix for 1.50. We LOVE Crispix and I’ve never seen it this low before. I have some save $1/2 for them too. YEA!

I just did 5 transactions back to back and ended up with 20 boxes Kellogg’s corn flakes & 8 bags of wacky mac pasta (on sale 10/$10 used .50 q’s) until I reached my Kellogg’s limit of 20. Spent $2 total oop and still have $3 in catalinas to use. ty ty ty, for posting this deal I otherwise would have missed! In case youre wondering, My store manager knows that I donate and is more than happy to let me do multiple transactions that generate catalinas.

Don’t forget that Classico pasta sauce is 2/$4 and you get a free box of safeway pasta for every jar of sauce that you buy. I bought 4 jars of white and 4 jars of red sauce and got 8 boxes of pasta. Due to the way she processed the free one (used the non sale price of 3.69 instead of $2) and then the (4) $1.50 off two jar coupons I used, I actually got paid 4.76 for all of it. I didn’t notice until I got home since I bought other stuff. By the way, the catalina for the Life cereal didn’t print for me, but was still a good deal since I had coupons anyway.

I just got off the phone with Safeway and let me just say I would not shop there if I did not have to. I try my best to buy most stuff anywhere else. I have been trying to load their coupons for the longest time and nothing worked. I also talked to them about whether you could use a safeway coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon both on one item. They said it was up to the Manager – the home office says it is ok, but the local store does not have to allow it. That upsets me because the store I shop at used to take them and now it does not. Very maddening. I do not like safeway at all.

Jaime, I also have the same password problem you do. In fact while I was on the phone with Safeway trying to work with them to load the coupons the site made me set up a new password. I hope these loaded coupons work since the safeway employee loaded them for me. We will see.

Stephanie I think that is listed somewhere in there. The Quaker Life does not have a cat- only Post or Kellogg’s.

Are you guys sliding your card or entering your phone number? I know it only works if you slide your card. Entering your phone number doesnt work for me

my cat for my cereal didnt print ={.. I did go back and bought the same 4 boxes and it printed fine.. Does anyone know where to call to get my cat?

    Thanks!

  23. Charlene says

    05/12/2010 at 9:38 PM

Regina just click on the link that says catalina and the bottom of the post tells you who to call.

  24. Charlene says

    05/12/2010 at 9:39 PM

Hmm. Andrea that might be a good point but I always enter my number and it works for me. I am thinking maybe do both ways and see if that makes a difference.

used my new dh’s card tonight to double my donation & and it worked like a charm, double the donation for me this week! I live within walking distance of a shopping center with a vons (safeway), cvs & a walgreens and feel very fortunate.

I load the coupons onto my safeway card and it comes off as eCoupon right under the item on the receipt. I don’t slide my card (haven’t had an actual card in years) I just punch in my number.
I’ve had times when it doesn’t come off – but I bring my printed list to the customer service desk and they can usually fix it for me. HTH!

I was just wondering if anyone had this happen to them. I had two internet coupons for the Oscar Meyer lunch meat that was on last week’s sale that I put with the Safeway Oscar Meyer coupon (limit 5). Hecka great deal. Anyway when I got to the register the cashier told me they only take one internet coupon for an item at a time so I couldn’t use the second coupon for the second package. So she asked me if I’d like to save one of my coupons for another time. She is a front end manager…. I didn’t see this is Safeway’s coupon policy.

  29. Charlene says

    05/13/2010 at 4:05 PM

Mary Jo I saw OR had it for $1.60 or something too. Such a deal! Check out my new McCormick post as it is an especially good deal for you!

  30. Charlene says

    05/13/2010 at 4:30 PM

Heather I am hearing this more and more. My problem is that it is not a corporate policy for Safeway and it is only a minority of stores. I have spoken with the Media Relations lady at Safeway, who is supposed to be putting a new coupon policy together. She just told me a few days ago that this is absolutely not the corporate policy. I don’t think Safeway is aware of the level of frustration we feel at not having a coupon policy- which I tried to very plainly communicate. Hopefully they will get it together soon and I will pass it right on to you guys!

In the meantime you just have to roll with what your store says I suppose and perhaps break up your trips next time. Sorry!
