Listerine/Rembrandt Rebate

05/24/2010

I don’t usually like to post these rebates because they don’t say how long the rebate will last.

But I thought I would pass this along because I just happened to post a great deal on Listerine this morning. I think it is worth it to put that receipt in the mail if you purchased the .99 Listerine but just want to make sure it is clear that this rebate is “while supplies last” so there is no telling how long it will last (or it could be over already.)  I don’t want anyone to be disappointed if the check doesn’t come.

But I found this on page 104 of the June/July issue of People Style Watch:

“Purchase any Listerine Whitening or Rembrandt product and receive a free $10 prepaid debit card to put toward your favorite white must have item for summer.  Mail your original receipt with the UPC code circled, including your name and address to “Dare to Wear” Gift, PO Box 4938, NY, NY 10185.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipping.

Offer good while supplies last. Limit one per household.  Purchase of qualifying product must be made between 5/21-6/17.  Proofs of purchase must include original receipt  with the product and purchase date circled and must be received by 7/1.  Retail value $10.”

The advertisement pictures a bottle of the mouthwash above and a Rembrandt Whitening kit.

So if you did buy this already or you planned to this week I would hurry and get those receipts in the mail and keep your fingers crossed!

You can get a $1 off Listerine coupon HERE and keep your eyes peeled at Target- my store has the bottles pictured above for $3.38 on clearance.  I am hoping they go lower this week!

I never got the Cold Stone $5 gift card from the People ad a while back. Did you?

jaden May 25, 2010 at 5:21 PM

I don’t think my receipt has the UPC code on it.

Charlene May 25, 2010 at 7:02 PM

Jaden you need to write the UPC down off the back of your product.

Walgreens had a coupon for $3 off in their circular this week and I combined with $2 internet coupon and only paid $.98 out of pocket!

At my Target they were marked down today to $1.99, so I got it for $.99 after my coupon!!!

Just scored an awesome deal at Walgreens. The Listerine Whitening and Restoring Mouthwash had a coupon around the neck for $3 off! With the in ad $3 off coupon it made it $0.49! It was originally $6.49!

I mailed my info back in May 2010, and have not received anything yet.
Has anyone else got this $10 card?

Charlene July 14, 2010 at 1:15 PM

Lucy I am sorry if this post was not clear. You are not guaranteed these rebates that are in magazines. They do not tell you how many they have- so maybe they had 2 to give out. We don’t know. They could have filled every last rebate the first day the magazine was in circulation- we have no idea at all. The point of the post was that people were getting the exact product for practically nothing at 2 different stores. If you wanted to spend the .44 on a stamp and take your chances it was worth a shot. I tried to make it clear that the rebate was absolutely not guaranteed so if you get a check that is great but the chances are pretty slim.

Just wanted to send you a thank you for this rebate! I received an AmEx card for $10. There were some issues with the card originally but AmEx fixed them and the card is valid. Thank you for all your hard work and making mail something to look forward to!

Sincerely,

Alice Conners

Yeah!! I am so glad someone got one- how exciting!

Heather July 29, 2010 at 6:35 AM

So glad you got a rebate Alice! Do you have any idea as to when you sent in your rebate? I was just wondering if there is any hope for mine. ;)

I got the $10 card from AmEx as well. I needed gas and went to the local gas station to “pre-pay” (just in case the card didn’t work.) Of course, it didn’t. The cashier said it was denied and offered me the phone to call and double check the value. I called the AmEx # on the back of the card and it had never been activated and had a zero balance. He took all my info about the “rebate” and told me to check online in a few days to see if its fixed. Just checked, and they validated it yesterday and added a $10 balance to it. Not sure why it came with no balance on it (sketchy!) but I’m glad they honored and fixed it!

Heather,

I believe I sent it in a couple of days after MFA’s post about the rebate. Hope you receive yours soon. :)

Hi,
I am the same “Lucy S.” as above, and I just got my card today, 8/3/10. I live on the West Coast, so maybe that it why it took a few more days to arrive.
Thanks for the tips about calling Amex to confirm if it is activated. I will do that.

This is “Lucy S.” again.
I just noticed the back of the card has a website listed -americanexpress.com/reward – where you can look up your account balance. I just did that and it states “ACTIVE” and “$10″ on my account. So I should be all set.

I submitted for my $10 card on May 30 and received the card last week (around July 28th/29th). I’m in Georgia. I’ve had no issues with the card. It has paid for two small lunches so far this week at my workplace’s food court. I learned about the rebate here. So, thank you!!
