I posted about Target.com’s free shipping and promo codes on Sunday and heard from a few of you that this did not work. I just had a chance to test the deal and it worked perfectly for me. So here is exactly what I did:
I went to Target.com and typed in Merona. Then I sorted by price low to high. I looked for the items that showed bright red print indicating shipping was free.
You will see that directly under the price. I selected two of the items that have promo codes right now- a handbag and a shirt.
Then when I went to check out, I entered the promotion codes right here:
Both of the codes went through perfectly. Here is what my cart looked like:
So I had $2 come off for the shirt and $5 off for the bag- plus the $5.97 credit for free shipping. So my pre tax total was $9.98 for both the shirt and the bag!
To recap these are the items that have free shipping right now:
Womens, Juniors, Shoes, Swim, Handbags, Accessories, and Jewelry. Not every single item is included so you need to look for the bright red “free shipping” note.
And there are three promotional codes that overlap with the free ship:
Merona handbags $5 off with code: TGTMNAAS
Merona women’s hoisery item $2 off : TGTMNA66
Merona women’s top $2 off: TGTMNA3G
Merona Men’s apparel item $3 off: TGTMNAFM (free ship on order’s of $50 or more)
So you can get some great deals on bags and shirts in particular! I also tried this on the Merona Handbag that I bought on Sunday and the total after $5 promo code was $7.48 shipped! The hobo bag above is just $5!

Thought you might want to know something might be wrong with your feed again. I’m using google reader and haven’t had an update from your site since yesterday. The last feed was the post you did about the free handbags at Target. It could just be me, but all other sites are coming through just fine. Anyone else having that problem?
Yes I did too and another reader emailed. I seriously hate feedburner. I think when I click on kitchen sink in a post in WP it puts this crazy long code in the bottom of the post in HTML and that triggers something with feedburner. Thats all I can figure. I just have to check HTML on every post when I click on kitchen sink to be sure that code isn’t there and hopefully it won’t happen again.

Target had the blue Merona handbag pictured in your post on clearance here for $7.48. I walked in and used my $5 coupon and got it for $2.48. Cute bag too! 🙂
Thanks Kim I posted that on Sunday- I got the orange one for free! Target actually pulled the coupons already and many stores have refused to honor them on clearance merchandise. So this is a great option for those that missed out.
Anyone having problems with the merona women’s shirt online code now? I’m trying to buy a clearance shirt and every time I enter the code for $2 off, it pops up an error saying I can’t use the code with this order. Argh.
I’m happy to report that my Target did let me use my paper coupons from Target.com last night on a handbag and shirt, though! Got both for $6. SCORE! Thanks, Charlene! 🙂
