It was a busy day and I got a bunch of good deals!

CoverGirl mascara $5.99- used $1 coupon
Nestle Drumsticks $5.79-used free item coupon
Pampers Mega pack $8.99 on clearance- $1.50 coupon
I also used a $5 ECB and a $4/20 coupon and got a $4 ECB back for the Cover Girl!
Safeway $5.35
Safeway Powdered Sugar $2.29
4 Sfwy Diet Soda $2.76 + .40 CRV
2 loaves wheat bread .99 each
Jumbo package Foster Farms Turkey dogs $1.99 on clearance
2 Lunchables $1 each- used (2) $1 coupons
Apples $1.93
Cantaloupe $1.25
Eggplant $1.99
Jumbo Artichoke $1.50
I used the $1 off produce coupon, and (2) $5 catalinas from prior transactions.
Target $16.67
I did two transactions the first was:
5 Ziploc Bags (3) at $3 and (2) at $2.27
Use the free $5 gift card from Real Simple magazine
Also used (2) $1/2 coupons and .40/1 coupon PLUS a .75/1 Target coupon from a home mailer
Total was $10.98 and I got a $5 gift card back- now I can submit the $5 rebate from SC Johnson!
Then I bought:
8 cans Del Monte veggies .50 each- used (2) $1/4 coupons
Thomas Bagels $1.89- used $1 coupon
CFL Lightbulb (not pictured) $2.69- used $2/1 Target coupon and $1/1 HERE
2 Goldfish $1.66- used .75/2 catalina coupon from Target
and I used the $5 gift card and paid $5.69
Raleys $11.07
2 DiGiorno Pizza $5.99- used $3/1 coupons
2 Lindsay Olives .89- used $1/2 coupon
2 garden Salads .97 each
4 Corn .27 each
Tortilla Chips $1.29
So the total was $37.57 which still leaves me room in the budget to get a little more produce and milk at Costco tomorrow.

Where did you find the $1 off Safeway produce? I’ve looked for a booklet by customer service like you had mentioned awhile back and don’t see anything. ?

I’m new at this and had a few questions. Since you mentioned Costco in this post I was wondering if the coupons that come in the mail for Costco items are truly a good deal? I was buying my milk, bread and coffee there yesterday and was temped to buy some items that I had coupons for but didn’t know if it was truly a good deal? What are your thoughts on that? Also how long did it take you to get this good and only spend such a min. amount for such a bounty as pictured above? I’m SO impressed but feel like I’m never going to get the grocery bill down and my pantry & freezer stocked. I’m not going to give up though! I’m determined to slash my expenses!! 🙂
