There is a new coupon HERE for $1 off any Scotch Brite product. This is a great coupon because the kitchen sponges can be found for less than $1 at stores like Walmart.
This is a pdf coupon which means you can print as many as you like. It is a legitimate coupon and 3M issues them like this all the time. I will warn you that you might have issues using it if you have extremely picky stores.
I have never run into a problem using pdf coupons- so it should be just fine.
i used 2 of these at walmart today. i don’t think the fact that is was a pdf was the problem, but the cashier just couldn’t (or wouldn’t) understand why i would try to use a coupon for more than the retail price of the product. i suggested to adjust the coupon (??) and she said that couldn’t be done. she called a mgr over and explained to her the scenario, the mgr couldn’t figure it out either. i said 2 times “don’t worry about the coupons then i will just pay for the items”. the mgr got frustrated and told the cashier to just give me the $1 off. so not only did i get 2 free sponges, but .32 cents overage. i feel bad, but i offered to pay for the items twice…so i guess my conscience will survive. hope you all have better luck!
Wow, my Wal-mart is awful. I have had issues with coupons there ever since I moved here. They refused my coupons, first trying to tell my I needed to buy something that was picture…(good thing I did have a sponge… lame), then said it wouldn’t scan. I told them my sister just used the same coupon at another Wal-mart. They told me to take it there!!! I went to CS. to ask for a copy of their coupon policy, they said that one did no exist! Then also said they do not accept internet coupons. They then told me to take the coupons to the other Wal-mart 20mins away. I called 1-800-walmart, and asked if they stopped accepting internet coupons, and if each store had a different coupon “policy”, the CS. rep. was super nice and agreed they were wrong. I won’t be going back, but if you live near the Santa Maria, CA Wal-mart it should be okay to take your coupons in now.
Rachel- Walmart is notorious for this. I hate my store as well and I just go into it with the attitude that if something is too much trouble or I get rejected I just take it off the bill. I can’t stand using coupons on items that are less than the coupon value because they are hideous about it.
The scotch brite sponges are BOGO next week at walgreens.
I just tried this at my Walmart in Arkansas as well and they wouldn’t take it either. They said the register wouldn’t take it because it was for more than what the product costs… guess I’ll save them to see if it works at Walgreens next week:)
The coupon is now $1 off two items, not $1.00 off one. I guess that is what I get for waiting.
Publix currently has them for 2/3.00 so if you have two coupons then that’s 1.00 for both.
