You can see Safeway’s coupon policy right HERE. Most stores will allow you to stack a manufacturer coupon with the store coupons that can be found in the weekly circulars. You will want to be sure to get a club card for Safeway to take advantage of the sale prices! Safeway sale prices tend to vary from region to region so you will always want to double check your local ad! Also, I do not have double coupons in my area so your prices are likely much better than mine!
NOTE: In ad coupons can be stacked at most stores with manufacturer coupons. They do require a minimum $10 pre coupon purchase!

Did I miss any great deals? As usual I am sure lots more will crop up in the next few days so stay tuned!
Hi Charlene – in my April 17 issue of Women’s Day there are a couple of coupon pages that include a .75/1 Glade Relaxing Moments product (along with a $2/2 Q).
My Safeway double up to .99 qs, so this makes for a little bit better of a deal.
(my Mom gave me a magazine to read that had this same set of coupons – but I have since recycled it – maybe Redbook?? Anyhoo – we should check our magazines : )
Does the safeway e-coupons work like any other e-coupon where you can stack them with MQ’s or do we have to use them seprately ?? for example if I buy 2 windex and use 2/$1 off MQ’s will my e-coupon work as well ?
I was able to print 2 more sargento coupons (.75 value) using zip code 53221
Do you think the $1/1 7 up coupon will work?
I am trying to get the 55/1 coupon for the 7UP and when I click on the link it brings me to the safeway page of coupons but there is no 7UP, are they regional coupons? Do they disappear like the target coupons after you have printed what you are alloted??
thanks for the help,
Amy
They fade when you have added them to your card. I checked last night when I posted the deals and it was there so not sure why you can’t see it.
Tina yes they do but personally I don’t want to encourage that because I don’t think it is correct use of coupons. The ones from the Safeway site are essentially coupons.com coupons and they are manufacturer coupons. I don’t think they should be stacked even though they will stack- does that make sense? By stacking e-coupons it is probably bending the rules enough but I just don’t feel it is right to stack the others.
I had a horrible experience at the Granite Drive location this morning. They (including the manager) told me that using the ad coupon and Windex manuf. coupon was considered “doubling” and they wouldn’t allow it. They also wouldn’t allow more than one printable of the same kind (ie the Sargento coupons). To top it all off she couldn’t tell if the second coupon reversed off so she re-rang my entire cart of groceries. I came so close to just leaving it all.
Yuck what a shame! I am sorry to hear that. I am heading over there in just a bit. Which cashier did you get? There is a blonde one that always gives me a terrible time. Oh and a dreadful lady that always says “doubling” that usually works at the U Scan.
Her name was Martha. There was no to avoid her either, she was the only one working.
Ladies I recommend you email Safeway with this info. I complained about my store in Carmichael, CA and did get a response from corporate that they would investigate. In Carmichael they don’t give you your bag discount for bringing your own bag.
I received the following helpful information from Safeway Customer Service. I will surely be taking a print out of my e-mail the next time I visit.
“In general, you may use 1 manufacturer’s coupon, 1 store coupon and 1 digital coupon or any combination thereof, for 1 item. You may not use 2 manufacturer’s or 2 store coupons for one item. If the amounts of your single or combined coupons exceed the amount of the product we will not give you funds back and the store is permitted to decline to accept the coupon.”
Kelly I just got back from the Granite Drive one and I got the Mission tortillas with both coupons with no problem. I think I know which cashier you had- is a pretty blonde? If so she always, always gives me a terrible time. Once she was making fun of a lady that had 4 boxes of cereal saying what a pig she must be or something equally ignorant.
I called after I saw your comment and asked for a coupon policy (AGAIN) and was told no since it is proprietary. So you got more than I did!
I live closer to Modesto and I don’t really have any problems with Safeway. I think they’re a little scared of the prego coupon gal! It DOES make me sad when they question coupons and tell me that they’ve had fraudulent use. My integrity and honor are WAY more valuable than 6 boxes of free cereal compared to 3.
I ALWAYS try to go to male cashiers. They aren’t petty like some females are. Anyone else notice that?
Hey Charlene, no, Martha was my cashier. I think the blonde one you’re talking about was April? She was the one who confirmed Martha’s “doubling” statements. I sure wish they were given more training about coupons and how they work. The cereal/pig comment is just atrocious. I certainly would have complained about that one.
I went back today and spoke with April, the blonde assistant manager. Apparently my horrible experience was enough for her to call corporate and guess what……I was right. Now she says the problem wasn’t “doubling”, but the order in which the store/manuf. coupons are scanned. Their argument yesterday was that using both was “doubling.” Anyhow, I hope I’ve paved the way for more pleasant couponing in the future.
PS Her understanding today of doubling is one store with 2 manuf. cpns and she’s the one training the other employees.
I just want to let everyone know I found a coupon for Cheez-It;
heres the link:
http://www.snackpicks.com/cheezit_solutions.aspx
click the side and fill out the form and its a coupon for 1.00 off of 2 boxes.. so if you don’t live near an Albertsons this can still get you a better deal for Cheez-It.
I live in southern Oregon and the safeways here are also getting bad about coupons. They question everything, and the people behind you get very annoyed. The are two really great cashiers at the safeway by Olive Garden here, Eber and I believe Stephanie. She gets really excited to see how much we save. My daughter and I go once a week and try to go in the evenings, or Sunday and it seems better when it’s not crowded. We just keep plugging along…
Great coupon Leanne! I believe that is for the 11.5 oz boxes though and 7-9 oz are the ones on sale.
Hi everyone,
if you are going for the 99 cent Kraft salad dressing this weekend, check the bottle necks of all the flavors. some of them have coupons on them for 35 cents off one Kraft 16 oz. salad dressing. You will get the 35 cents off the 99 cent dressing. not a bad price !!
