Starting Wednesday at Safeway stores we will see a new Proctor and Gamble promotion starting.  Spend $25 or more in one transaction and get a $10 catalina back.

Now this time around it seems to be more products so I think this might work out to be a good deal. Especially considering the P&G e-coupons HERE.

Tide, Pampers, Charmin and Duracell are for sure included.  I will have the complete match ups tomorrow night so stay tuned!

There is also the rebate offer HERE for a free magazine or $12 back on specific products.  So providing all the rebate items are included in the sale at Safeway, you could theoretically buy $25 in select Proctor and Gamble items (Olay etc..)- get a $10 catalina coupon and submit the $12 rebate.  So even without coupons you can get a really spectacular deal!

Not sure how strictly the exclusions will be enforced:

Get a $10 OFF coupon wyb $25 of participating Proctor & Gamble products in a single transaction*

*Valid 4/14/10 – 4/20/10 with Club Card. Limit one per transaction. Coupon valid on your next shopping trip. [[Purchases exclude Safeway Store Coupons, Club Card Loaded Coupons, Manufacturer coupons and e-Coupons, Sales tax and online purchases.]] Not all participating products are Future Friendly, look for labeled P&G products.

    Hi Charlene

Could we buy $50 in Olay products, get 2 $10 catalinas and then the $20 rebate you told us about yesterday? Then we’d only pay $10 for $50 worth of products, and that’s without coupons! Do you think it would work?

    Thanks so much!
    Amelia

Thanks for the heads up! I was just going to head to Safeway for diapers today, but now I’ll wait! We got $1/1 Safeway coupons in our 4/11 SS, so I’m already scheming a *great* diaper scenario.

Buy jumbo pack of Easy Ups, Extra Protection + one other = $33
    – $2/1 PG e-coupon for Extra Protection
    – $1/1 PG e-coupon for Easy Ups
    – (3) $1/1 Safeway retailer coupon in 4/11 SS
    – (3) $1.50/1 off any Pampers from 4/4 P&G

    Subtotal $22.50 after coupons
    = 12.50 after $10 back CAT
= .50 (after P&G mag rebate) for 3 jumbo packs!

I am not sure if Jumbos will be included- the ad shows Megas I think it was but I don’t have all the details yet so we shall see!

Amelia- I was thinking of that but you need 2 transactions of items at $25 because it is one cat per transaction.

Considering what Traci wrote, does that mean that that you have to spend $25, after coupons?

I am not sure Teresa. I can’t see all the fine print until I have actual ad in front of me and that won’t be until tonight. I still think this could be a good deal when combined with the rebates. But again at this time I do not know exactly what is included and I do not know what all the fine print says. If it is after coupons than the idea I outlined still works: Spend $25 after coupons on select items, get a $10 cat and then get a $12 rebate back. Still makes for an excellent deal.

It did not work for me last time even though I selected all products correctly advertised in the store (it took me 1 hour since I did not want the toilet paper)and the store refused to honor it, along with the catalina company. I had to return back all the stuff and lost my coupons. So I don’t think I will be participating in this one 🙁

Can you use the $10 catalina on everything next time? Or only the P&G products?

NW now I can’t promise you with 100% certainty but I would be very, very surprised if this was exclusively to buy more P&G. It should be for anything just like any other catalina at Safeway.
