Reader Christy let me know that she tested the Philadephia Minis to see if they were part of the Kraft Buy 5 Save $5 promotion this week at Safeway and they were! These are priced at $1.49- so that works out to .49 each after the instant discount!
Now if you have the .50/1 from 4/18 SS you can get these free! My store also has blinkie machines for .55 off 1 so that is even better.
I tested this as well and it worked perfectly for me. I bought 5 and they came up at .49 each. I used (3) .50 coupons and (2) .55 coupons and they were all free!
Even better- I got the .75 cat back for buying 4 or more Philly Cream Cheese- so this was actually a moneymaker!
Now here are two very important notes on this deal so please read:
***As you can see, these were not tagged as being part of the promotion. Other Philly Cream Cheese was so this appears to be a hidden deal and if it does not trigger the $5 off for you, you can either pay the .99 price after coupon or return them before you leave the store for a refund. Safeway will not adjust the price down to .49 for you if they are not advertised or marked as being part of the sale.
***This catalina appears to be regional and I do not have any specifics about it. It has worked for me twice but has not worked for many of you- so I would just keep an eye in case it prints but it might not and from what I have heard from you guys, catalina is not mailing out missing cats for this particular promotion.

I was wondering if this was going to be part of the 5 for $5. I held off buying more last night, so I think I will try on my next trip. Still, even with just the sale price, coupon, and catalina, these are a good deal. I’ll let you know what happens.

I just did this deal and they worked as part of the Save $5 promo. The catalina did not print (Oregon) however, but they were still free plus .25 in overage. They had the blinkie coupons right in front of the product at my store.

This deal worked for me in Sacramento (Del Paso Blvd store). I did it twice. both times received Catalina for 75 cents off my next purchase. I bought 3 minis and 2 regular Philadephia cream cheese each time. Great deal and thanks for posting this.
It worked for me tonight. I bought four packs of the minis, one pack of Kraft singles (American cheese) and a loaf of slided bread. I used four 55 cent blinkie coupons and a $1 Kraft coupon from one of the coupon booklets inside the Safeway stores. I paid $2.50 OOP and got a 75 cent Catalina and a $1 coupon for produce on my next visit. Thanks again Charlene.

I bought 10 Minis ( yes 10 minis I know a whole lot of cheese lol!)
10 Minis with discount = $4.90
used 7 $.55 coupons
used 1 $1.00 coupon from Kraft First Taste mailer
My total was….Drum Roll Please….A whopping $.05 cents!!!!

For the Kraft Buy 5 Save $5 promotion, how many can you buy to do the deal in one transaction? I understand that you have to buy multiples of 5.
