I’m so jealous of that Coke deal! Ours is 3/11 with 2 ECB.

Shh Kim- don’t say that. You just made me panic that I messed up the weeks 🙂 Seriously with 3 Grocery stores, 3 drugstores plus Target and Walmart I can’t keep any of it straight once I post it is gone from memory.

Charlene, you are so wonderful. I really appreciate all you do. I’ve cut my shopping bill in half, and I was a really good shopper before, now I’m great, thanks to you! I used to do a lot of matchups on my own for the grocery stores, and I’d get so frustrated at the time it took. I would never have attempted drugstores. Thank you for doing this for us. My husband brags about the stockpiles of goods we have that I’ve gotten for free or near to free. And every day there is a sample or a rebate check in the mail. I love when I “awe” the checkers by saving 76% at the grocer store, or $.20 on $50 worth of stuff at the drugstore. Thanks for making a difference in our family’s lives. Blessings to you and yours.

I am curious…..you do this list and WaGS so early ,where do you go to see the ad in advance this early? If you cannot share I understand, but would love to know if you can share!

I have job security issues that prevent me from revealing my sources. So sorry Rebecca.

Just kidding- go over to Iheartwags.com or iheartcvs.com and you can see them too. Just don’t abandon MFA in the process.

OK, it is 4:30 am here and you had me on the first part—“job security”!!! LOL!

Thank you for sharing, and I would NEVER abandon MFA….never! I have learned so much from your site!

Thanks again and I hope that you have a wonderful weekend!

*sigh* So I just did the John Frieda deal. Yes, it is working today (April 10th) so I was able to use (2) $3/1 coupons and (1) $2.50/1 coupon. Oh my goodness… I checked with two store employees first to make sure the ECB deal would work today. They both assured me it would. When I ring up at the register, I tell the cashier I want to make sure I get the 5 ECBs. No problem. I pay, receipt prints out, no ECBs. He tells me that I didn’t get them because the coupons lowered the price to below $15. I ask him to void the transaction. After a complicated process, he manages to refund me the full amount but won’t give me my coupons back because “technically” I used them. Manager comes over and says to just ring it up again and give me the ECBs. I was flustered at this point and didn’t realize that he missed one of my $3/1 coupons. *sigh again* In the end, my 3 bottles cost $1.91 each. I just wish I could think clearly when I get flustered so I notice mistakes. I don’t really want to drive back now…

My previous comment didn’t seem to post, so I apologize if this is a repeat.

Yes, the John Freida deal is working today (April 10th), so if you still have the $3/1 coupons, you can use them on this deal today.

I ran into a problem, though. The 5 ECBs did not print out with the receipt and the cashier told me it was because the coupons brought the price to below $15 for three bottles. Any thoughts?

  10. Charlene says

    04/10/2010 at 5:07 PM

Rita was your precoupon total $15? Some are saying the price this week was $4.99 which is why the ECBs wouldn’t have printed. The coupons don’t matter at all- the clerk was wrong. If your pre-coupon total was $15 than just call CVS customer service. They can issue the ECBs.

  11. Randi says

    04/10/2010 at 9:43 PM

I had the same problem as Rita, I purchased 3 bottles, which came to 14.97 (4.99 each), used 3 of the 3 off q’s. I didn’t get the ECB’s because I didn’t buy over 15, I heard that it was working for other stores, but not at the Sacramento store on Arden at least.

  12. Charlene says

    04/10/2010 at 11:54 PM

Right- I would take them back and rebuy Randi. The deal was spend $15 and get $5 ECB so if they are priced below $15 your ECB won’t print.

  13. Rita says

    04/11/2010 at 1:01 AM

I addressed this issue with the manager before I took them up to the cashier. The price labels said $5.00, but they were scanning at $4.99. The manager stated that if it was off by a few cents, my ECBs would still print. If it didn’t print, she said they would do it manually. Well, the ECBs didn’t print, and she stated that the reason was because of the coupons bringing the total below $15 and that I didn’t qualify for the deal.

Anyway, I agree that the cashier & manager were wrong. I just didn’t feel that I was in a position to argue.

Rita this is just my experience- but with CVS I don’t bother arguing in stores. I have found the customer service to be so helpful and prompt that I just call when I get home. Explain to them what happened and I bet they fix it for you. They can force the ECBs and they print when you scan your card the next time you are in store.

    Hi Charlene,

I have a coupon for 4$ off 20 in beauty products – will the Dove and dial qualify for that? I am not sure what I can buy for 20$ that would qualify as beauty products. TIA.

I just wanted to add that if you go to the Biore website you can print 1.00 offany product, so it will lower the Biore/John Frieda scenerio.

At my store there were $1.50/1 peelies on the Dove Shampoo and Conditioner.
