Update: Staples Coupon & Cheap Paper

Well this is a shame!  I posted a 15% off coupon for Staples last week as well as a great deal on paper using that coupon.  Staples releases these coupons frequently and I use them all the time.  Apparently this particular one was fraudulent and I have heard from two of you that had it refused already.

So disappointing that we can’t use the coupon but there is still a great deal on paper this week!

Buy 1 ream of Hammermill paper at $5 and get a $4 rebate back!  The rebate will print right on your receipt and you can submit it online.  Then you get a little postcard rebate check that can be cashed at your bank!  Easy!

I know my Staples runs out of rebate items early in the week so it is worth a phone call to confirm they have inventory if you want to take advantage of this deal!

It is a great deal on paper, they also have some great $1 and $2 deals this week. And at my store they had some Samsonite fold up tables (like card tables, but more elongated) on clearance for under $14. They will be perfect crafting! Even though the coupon was a bummer I have to remember all my purchases count towards my Staples Rewards!

I tried to use the coupon on Sunday. They refused it saying that “it was released too soon” so I hope another one will be available soon.

I had no trouble with the coupon and got my 2 teams for the sale price + 15% off…and my Staples is REALLY picky.

Darn! I was going to use it this week. Oh well $1 is still a good price!! 🙂

Mine was rejected too. Still got the paper cause you can’t beat $1 after rebate.

I was (luckily) able to use the 15% off coupon in conjunction with my rewards certificate. I got a 6 pack of pens, 3 packs of fun post-it notes, some drawer organizing baskets and a bottle of water for $1.11!

I was able to use the 15% coupon on Sunday inconjunction with our reward card. It works.

I have never bought any rebate items at Staples (have very rarely even shopped there) Can you buy more than one ream of paper and get rebates on them all, or is it just one rebate per household? And how does the staples rewards work?? is that different than rebates?

I was refused as well…they stated it was a fraud coupon. 🙁

I used the coupon on Sunday and had no problem at all. It’s worth a try.

The display said “limit 2” so that’s what I got. The receipt says “limit 2 rebates per name/address/household.” I’ve already submitted my rebates on-line. Yay for the EASY button!

My coupon was rejected as fraudulent also. Oh, well! I still got the paper because $1 is still a fabulous price!

Charlene, thanks a lot for the earlier that earlier post. I think it was still such a frugalicious deal and I believe lot of people like me saved a ton of money from it. My husband just bought me a printer (just so I can print coupons!) and he thought I did a great job by finding such a fantastic deal. So thank you for posting it and posting it ahead of time so that I could go and get my 2 reams before supplies exhausted.
