So I spent about $7 total on my first Safeway run.  I used all the coupons I told you about HERE with one exception- an extra .40 ecoupon came off for the Nut Clusters.  I also got a $3.50 catalina back to make my net about $3.60..

So basically I paid for the strawberries $3 and .60 for 6 boxes of fruit snacks, 4 boxes of cereal and 5 bags of Nature Valley Nut clusters.

How did you do on your Safeway trips?

Question for you about the safeway buy 5, save $5……. If I buy 6 fruit snacks is the 6th one still $1 or is it full price???? All of my coupons are .50cents off of two and I wanted to split the purchase of 5 in one transaction and 5 in another transaction so that I could get two of the catalina’s to print for me. 🙂

thanks for the help. You are AMAZING!

    I did awesome too!!
I got 20 of the mix & match items ans after coupons & eQ’s, I spent $1.96 OOP and got the $3.50 CAT.

I also got 4 boxes of Hamburger Helper (different deal), because they are .99 WYB 4, and I used a .75 off 3 Manuf. Q and then (3) eQ’s totaling $2.25 came off too. So they cost .71 for all 4, but then I got another CAT coupon that says “Save $2 off ground beef when you when 2 Hamburger Helper”…

    GOOD RUN!!

Awesome, Charlene. Just curious did you have to do separate transactions at all?

  5. Charlene says

If you buy 6, than the 6th box will be $2 because it is Buy 5 Save $5. So buy 6 and still save $5. You will spend an extra $2 to save .25.

Since there was only one catalina offer I just did one transaction for all that.

I paid 3.61 for 2 Marie callendar dressings, 2 boxes of mushrooms, 1 salad, 2 oscar mayer subs & 2 piccolini pasta.
I used 2 1$ coupons for the dressing, 2 75c coupons for the subs and 2 55c coupons for the pasta .

It looks like they double upto 1$ but only on 1 sub and 1 pasta. Anyway this wa sa good deal for me and I maybe gpoing again tomorrow to do the frozen food deal.
The post cereal deal was better at Wags. I got 4 Honey Bunches of oats for 7$, paid all for with previous RR and got 3 RR.

Thanks for the scenarios and matchups.

looking for a date on the safeway deals- did it start today or just end today? (3/10/10) How long are is the fruit snack catalina running? I fear I might have missed the boat- been a long, hard week with students.

Amy- I can confirm that if you buy 6, the 6th box will be 2.00 because I made that mistake today! I thought if you bought 5 or more, they would all be 1.00 but I was wrong. Oh well, I got some great deals anyway:

I bought 6 boxes of Kellogg’s fruit snacks, 6 bottles of Marie’s salad dressing and an 8th Continent soy milk. I used four 1.00 off fruit snacks coupons, one 1.50 off fruit snacks coupon, six 1.00 off Marie’s coupons and one 2.00 off soy milk coupon. Paid 2.43 for all of it. So if I hadn’t messed up on the 6th box of fruit snacks, I would have paid .43 instead.

My neighbor and I went shopping together tonight. Together we purchased 20 boxes of kellogs cereal(froot loops, pops, and apple jacks) 20 boxes of fruit snacks, 4 bags of granola nut clusters, 2 bonus packs of listerine, 1 freshetta frozen pizza, 4 michael angelos frozen meals, 2 pillsbury toaster strudels, one frozen corn, 2 orange juices (we got thirsty) and a gallon of milk. Our total out of pocket was $12.24 and I got back the same catalinas I started with, a $3.50, a $4, and a $10 on frozen foods. We were very excited…

Could you also add the $1.50 Vocalpoint mail coupon for the Kelloggs snacks. That made them $0.50 overage.
