You can roll the catalinas over and over!  So if you get a $3.50 catalina from the Fruit Snacks- go back over buy 5 more boxes and you can pay with that catalina and get another one and so on and so on…

Am I doing the match wrong on the Betty Crocker catalina? I think the out of pocket is 3.00 after coupons and ecoupons, receive $3.50 back for a $.50 profit?

  3. Sophie says

    03/10/2010 at 10:40 AM

where do you get the honey bunches of oats coupons?

OMGoodness! I can’t wait to try these out. We are almost out of Fruit by the Foot from the last deal and WAGS has been out of Fruity Pebbles ALL week!

THANKS so much for putting this together!

  5. SavinginLA says

Is the catalina only on the same items again – for example if you buy 5 Post cereals, is it 4$ off on Post cereal only?

    Thanks

  6. Jessica says

With the catalinas for these offers do you get vouchers to use only on like items or is it on anything in the store. I am new to couponing. Thanks

  7. Charlene says

    03/10/2010 at 12:13 PM

No .50 profit is correct Heather.

Sophie which coupon? If it is the $2 one I showed a picture and told you exactly where I found it in the store if you click on the link.

I just did four transactions with Fruit Roll Ups and the Kellogs cereals and they worked perfect! All catalina’s rolled beautifully! Thank you so much for all your hard work! Total spent today $16.87 and saved $159.51! And that’s including other groceries we needed!

Last week in the cereal isle, there were .70 off coupons for apple jacks, corn pops, and froot loops. There was a little dispenser in the isle. Keep a look out when you shop and you might some at your store!!

  11. April says

    03/10/2010 at 3:08 PM

Do the cellfire and shortcuts coupons stack with a manufacturer coupon or do they act as a single coupon by themselves?

  12. Melanie says

    03/10/2010 at 3:16 PM

So, Safeway says there is a limit of 20…does that mean 20 per transaction or 20 with the same safeway card. I would love to stock up but didn’t know if that was possible. Anyone know?

  13. Katie says

    03/10/2010 at 3:58 PM

Just to let you know, I checked the back of the Honey Bunches of Oats coupon that I had and it says that it expired 3/7. The coupon machine was no longer at my Safeway.

  14. Charlene says

    03/10/2010 at 5:48 PM

Per transaction Melanie and just remember to buy 5 increments. If you buy 14 for example you only get (2) $5 rewards rather than buying 15 and getting (3) $5 off. Also if you want anything with a catalina you need to do a separate transaction for each catalina.

  15. Jen says

    03/10/2010 at 5:55 PM

At my store (Kennewick, WA) the Captian Crunch was included in the buy 5 get $5. All varities, making it $1 when buying 5.

  16. Trish says

    03/10/2010 at 8:26 PM

Do you know if it’s possible to mix and match between the price categories?

  17. SavinginLA says

    03/10/2010 at 8:51 PM

Can we combine 1$, 1.50 and 2$ items for 5 items? Will the 1$ off still work?

    Thanks

  18. Charlene says

    03/10/2010 at 9:24 PM

Yes Saving in La- just be careful you don’t cheat yourself out of a catalina. But I just bought the Nut Clusters, cereal and fruit snacks today- all mix and match price points.

  19. Randi says

    03/10/2010 at 10:17 PM

I went to Safeway today to try this out, but I didn’t receive the cat for the cereral. I purchased 5 boxes, all were part of the promotion, but no cat printed. I did a few transactions, one of which was the freezer promo, but I didn’t get a cat for that one either. Is that over?

  20. Charlene says

    03/10/2010 at 10:49 PM

Nope! OK so for the cereal and the frozen foods as long as you are certain you bought the correct items just call catalina marketing and they can mail it to you. You can email them too- it is up to you:

    http://www.catalinamarketing.com/contact/

You just need the info off your receipts.

  21. Tina says

    03/10/2010 at 11:24 PM

If I wanted to do the deal on the Nut clusters, how do you get the e coupons to come off of each one. Since you can only load one, or that has been my experience. So if I bought 5 nut clusters how would that work. Thank you in advance for helping me. I’m trying to learn how to do this Safeway thing.

  22. Jeannine says

    03/11/2010 at 12:15 AM

Thanks so much. I did the Betty Crocker and Kellogs deals and spent $6, then got $3.50 and $4.00 catalina.

Then for my 2nd transaction I did a total of 5 – $1 items, 10 – $1.50 items, 5 – $2 items, the strawberries, the marie’s salad dressing and 3 salads, 2 international delights and 2 lunchables. I used the catalinas from the first transaction for the above. I had coupons for all items except the salads.

Also in the 2nd transaction I only bought 3 hamburger helpers and you need to buy 4 for the $.99, so it ultimately made my total for all items in the 2nd transaction $16. If I had bought one more it would have only been $10…

So I spent $22 for $160 worth of groceries!! And my husband is going to kill me when he sees 13 boxes of cereal that I hid in the garage 🙂

    Thanks again!

  23. Janey says

    03/11/2010 at 9:41 AM

How long do the other catalina deals run? I don’t want to go to the trouble of getting others to print coupons for me if it was over yesterday.

  24. Charlene says

    03/11/2010 at 9:46 AM

Janey just one ended yesterday. The others end the 21st I believe.

  25. Janey says

    03/11/2010 at 9:55 AM

WOOHOO then I’m off to Randall’s to have some catalina fun! I have some $10 cat’s to roll so should be able to score some great deals AND get the meat on my list for next to nothing! 🙂

  26. SavinginLA says

    03/11/2010 at 6:48 PM

Will this scenario work for the frozen food catalina?

Buy 10 WW Smart ones at 2.50 each including 1 breakfast item and 1 flatbread. Total will be 25$

    Use 3$ off 10
    Use 1 free flatbread q & 1 free Breakfast q
Use 2 2$ Q from the healthy heart booklet
Use 10$ off previous frozen food catalina –

Pay 3$ and get 10$ back

    Will this work?

    Thanks

I love these deals! Although, I went today to Vons, the cashier was telling me that they only allow 3 internet printed coupons, so I wasn’t allowed to use all my coupons. Lost about 3 dollars. It seems stores are really nit picking coupons as if I am doing something wrong.
I love using coupons…makes me kinda bummed!

  28. Jaime says

    03/13/2010 at 12:38 PM

I just finished ranting about coupon usage on the Wags post, but today at Safeway and earlier in the week I purchased 5 of the Betty Crocker snacks and neither purchase netted me a catalina! I’m wondering if I missed the date? Is it just a register thing, because I think I may have checked out at the same register each time?

  29. Jaime says

    03/13/2010 at 12:39 PM

By the way…ranting about Wags coupon changes, not MFA…I love your site and all of the money you have saved my family! Thank you!!!

  30. Charlene says

    03/13/2010 at 2:43 PM

I would call or email catalina company with your receipt information. Click the catalina link on the post and you can find the phone number.

IF the nut cluster will be $1.5 even if i have 5 $1 coupons + 1 time $1 off from shortcut , according to my calculation, it will be $1.5 out of pocket…cheap, but not free as stated…Am i wrong?

  32. Charlene says

    03/14/2010 at 6:05 PM

Ahuva, There are (2) $1 e-coupons. If you buy 4 bags they are all free- buy a 5th item that is free such as the Quaker cereal. If you want to purchase 5 bags than you will pay $.50 for 5 bags or .10 per bag.
