I stopped at Safeway this morning to grab my 3 bags. They only had about 9 total on the shelf…
When I went to check-out they rang up incorrectly at $1.79. The cashier took off $.80 on each to bring the price down but it took him awhile to do so and there was a line behind me which I am sure they weren’t happy.
Just a word of warning to watch the price when they ring up or to check your receipt and get a credit before you leave if they are the wrong price!

I went to get my bags this morning too and they were marked $1.79 and rang up $1.79. I was prepared and had the ad and the checker fixed the price. When I got home to sort it all out, I noticed 2 bags were robin eggs and the rest were mini robin eggs. The regular ones rang up $.99. At the store they were all tagged robin eggs and they were all in the same pile.

I shopped at Von’s this morning, where they had the same promotion. They wouldn’t take my coupon though. They told me it was because the candy has to specifically say Hershey’s on it, and it just says Whopper’s on the package. ๐ They were also running pretty low already too.
Charlene says
Deborah- you gotta love that reason! Did you point him toward the ad which says “Hershey’s Robins Eggs” in large letters? Perhaps he can go and find the “Hershey’s Robins Eggs” they advertised since the Whoppers are not applicable. ๐

my safeway was also ringing them up at 1.79, but i had the ad in hand and they were great about lowering the price. thanks for the heads up on this great deal! 3 bags of easter candy for under a buck! woo hoo!
Deborah says
Yes, I did actually point out that the ad said Hershey’s. No luck. Oh well… ๐

Went today. Was told that they are not allowed to take internet coupons anymore…LOL…She said if it scans, they will take it. My coupon would not scan. Geez…..It was going to my soldiers. Oh well!

Had mine come up as $1.99 and reduce to $1.79 after Safeway card. Had to go over it with the cashier… he finally took off .80 each.
The Hershey name is on the BACK side of the package.
My $2/3 coupon would not scan either… so he moved me to another checkstand and called a manager to help me…
He had to start over…same thing happened and he had to override the mfr cpn too… so def check your total before you leave the lane..
…best to do as a sep transaction…
