Let me preface this by saying I am not certain this is a valid coupon. It appears to originate from the Kmart web site but I want to tell you about it before it is gone.
I am going to do some more digging and see if it is indeed legit and hopefully everyone doesn’t get excited for nothing.
If it was not meant to be distributed online the stores will likely refuse it- not to mention it wouldn’t be right to use it anyway. Supposedly this has 40,000 prints and then the coupon will switch to a $5/50- so I hate to make you waste ink but you might just print it just in case.
So you might want to grab the $10/20 coupon HERE and keep your fingers crossed! I will update if it is legit or not as soon as I can.
UPDATED: I have made a valiant and unsuccessful effort to talk to someone at Kmart. This coupon is all over the internet and Twitter and has unlimited prints. The coupon can be printed directly from the Kmart web site HERE and it does say any store (even though this one is in NY).
My opinion is that this coupon was not meant to be widely distributed. It was posted online and I have confirmation that people have used them successfully already. So I guess if you would like to use the coupon I would go quickly to Kmart. I am sure they will issue memos to the stores at some point to refuse the coupons.

EDITED: The majority of stores are no longer allowing the use of this coupon. Note that the coupon was not actually from the Kmart.com web site. It was actually an email campaign to two markets only (NY & Chicago) and the coupons were only meant to be distributed and used in those cities. So while this is a legitimate coupon, it was distributed by Kmart via an email campaign and should not have been released nationwide…
I hope it’s legit. I just used it for the Princess and the Frog promo, and there were no problems. I would feel horrible if it was fraudulent. There were absolutely no questions asked, and everything scanned just fine.
I just it and it came out as a $10 off a $20 pruchase. I wonder if theses are legit – if we can use them during double coupon week?
Gina, As I said I have a feeling these were not meant to be shared beyond specific stores. The one I posted is from Chicago. There is basically no one at Kmart available to answer questions and each time you call you are guaranteed to get a new response. So I am doing my best to find out. But I do not know.

Thanks for taking the time to check Charlene – I just printed the coupon, but I was waiting until the double coupons promo in April to use it…I says it expires 05/22. I’m hoping it is legit, too – the coupon states ‘Valid at all Kmart store locations’
Cjs- I don’t know that they will honor it for doubles. I mean they are going to have tens and tens of thousands of these in stores in the next few days I am sure. I guess you can cross your fingers but I am pretty sure they will issue memos to refuse the coupons quickly. Although it is Kmart so who knows…. 🙂 Sorry I wish I had answers but as I said before- I always try to look at Kmart with humor and consider it an adventure to shop there.
yes i did. i didn’t even read that no other coupons were allowed. i just did it and it went through no problem.
I just called my store and they told me it was ok to use along with MC’s so I am going to do a couple orders tomorrow before they decide to pull it.
I have used this coupon. I printed three since there was no limit and used them back to back to back. The cashiers all seemed to know exactly what they are and exactly what to do with them. In fact, they were happy for me with my savings!! I tried to buy some shirts for my boys that were on sale 2 of $8 and they ring in as a B1G1 so they coupon won’t work on those…buy things that are just normal price.
I did buy the Princess/frog dvd and the doll. If you buy them together you get $10 automatically taken off. Here’s the math:

-10 instantly
-10 off 20 coupon
-5 manf. coupon for DVD
So I paid 6.98 for the doll and the dvd!!!
Going to submit for band-aid rebate.
Also, if you buy $30 in Northern, you get a $10 cat. FYI. You can score some cheap tp this way and save your cat for doubles!!

Don’t bother. I went today and they refused it. After they made me wait for 30 minutes in line. The manager was extremely rude. FYI this was the store in Durham, NC. I have already contacted customer service about the terrible experience.

Laura, used it tonight in Concord. It worked perfectly! Who knows how long it will last, but it was good tonight!

Used it in portland Oregon! Worked awesome. I got a $5 enfamil cat when I bought the diapers!! Enfagrow is $20.49 so $5.49 after coupons!!! Woohoo!!!

I believe this coupon is valid HOWEVER it CLEARLY states on this coupon ” cannot combine with any other coupons for the same item(s) meaning you CAN use this coupon, but not with manufactorer coupons for the same items you are using the $10 off of $20. I wish the blog people would read a little closer (not you 🙂 — most are showing what great deals you can get using the manufac coupons w/ this coupon. It clearly states this is not allowed.
Molly I know it is legit- actually a reader sent me the email she got from Kmart with the coupon. I guess my reluctance is that they were stupid enough to put it in pdf format and online so that tens of thousands of people can print it as many times as they want. I see both sides that it is a legit coupon so go ahead and use but at the same time I don’t know that is it right to capitalize on a company’s stupid mistake. This is going to be a very, very expensive mistake for them to say the least. I think I am always the party pooper 🙂 I just know Kmart stores are going to crack down on this and a lot of people will be disappointed when the coupons are refused…
From SD — Looks like the coupon has been taken out of the Kmart system. It beeps and the register says “Rewards not found.” An email went out to the stores this morning saying not to take the coupon.
I live in Charleston, SC and tried to use the coupon this morning. The cashier told me that it was only valid in New York and they wouldn’t take it.

i used it this morning in southern california and they took it. it did beep and say coupon not valid but they took it anyway. they would not let me use a manufactures coupon with it though.
Just went to a kmart in Kissimmee Florida. They let me use it with a mc I did the princess and frog DVD and doll deal. Actually used it two other times on clearance shoes for my dd and candy for easter. What a great deal! Cashier said she had gotten lots of them today.
I just used it on a comforter set, it beeped and said “please cancel tender” they pushed it through.
The kmart site was hacked. This coupon is not valid and stores are not to accept it as per an email from corporate. Although it was susicious, it also appeared valid b/c it was ont heir site, I even called customer care and an actual store ont he site who both said it was legit. However the stores involved in the “rennaisance” apparently have their own exclusive coupon.
I tried to use it again this morning and they wouldn’t accept it. Manager said it is for NY only. Bummer!

Poor Kmart! I see how they would want to reject the coupon but on the flip side I think they are making a terrible mistake. Many people do not shop at Kmart (I for one) and even with a half off deal like this, it’s still getting customers in their stores to purchase items they would have purchased else where. Our Kmart parking lot is ALWAYS empty, a deal like this could have potentiall driven up sales for a couple of weeks…not to mention the free $5 on P&G items.
FYI, I tried using it today and they rejected it because I used other mfr coupons with it. It took about 20 minutes to figure out (with only 1 check stand open) it’s amazing I made it out of the store still alive with all those angry people behind me.

I used it today in Michigan, along with the coupons for hasbro games. I ended up with 4 hasbro card games, 4 bags of candy, one singing birthday card and a bottle of water. Should have been around $40, only paid $12. The coupon beeped at the cashier, but she typed it in and accepted it with no question. She did wait until after the manufacture coupons, so your total has to be $20 AFTER the other coupons… which it does state that on the coupon, but sometimes they do it the other way anyways. This time, she made sure it was $20 after coupon and then took the $10 off.

K-mart did let me use the coupon, and I even pointed out where it said on the coupon that you couldn’t use it w/ manufactor coupons but they said that was okay too. Go figure! I didn’t question the validity of the coupon, but it clearly states on there you can’t use manufacturer coupons on the items you are using for the $10 off of $20. I figured out I saved about $6 over Walmart after I did my Kmart deal. Kmart is usually a little pricier than Walmart. I’ll bet anything if I try to do it again they will say they are not taking it anymore. The girl called her manager, they had gotten a few in, and all had beeped but they pushed them through. But they did give me the go ahead. Hope that helps. 🙂
