Wow there was a $1/1 coupon in the 3/28 SS for Hall’s Cough Drops.ย This will easily make for free product since these go on sale at the drugstores virtually every week for .99.
As a matter of fact they are on sale this week at Walgreens for .99 with in ad coupon.ย Be sure to give the manufacturer coupon first and get them free!
I cannot say for sure what triggered the print since I had a few items in my purchase, but I got the Halls @ Wags and got a .35 cent cat-coupon for Halls. Not free but still pretty cheap since weve been using them alot lately.
We seem to have gotten different coupons in Minnesota. We didn’t get one for the Dove shampoo or these cough drops or the coffee mentioned below. ๐
i dont know much about walgreens, but since you wrote it, i take it you must give the mfg coupon first or the deal wont work? sorry if this is a dumb question lol
Amy, at Walgreens the register will beep for a coupon on a product that is less than the value of the coupon. Simple. So if you use the in ad coupon first your total is now .99 and you hand over the $1 coupon- register will beep since the coupon is greater than the value of the item. Now you have a massive hassle because 90% of cashiers will just tell you no or you have to get a manager over to adjust the coupon value down- a big hassle over one penny.
If you purchase the item for whatever price- say $1.50 and give the $1 coupon FIRST- now your total is .50. Then give Walgreens coupon and no beeps and it will deduct the remaining .50 to make the item free.
thanks Charlene ๐
well..went to walgreens this morning..and although i followed your instructions about the order of coupons (giving the mfg coupon 1st), they still would not do it.since the product was .99, they could not use a 1.00 coupon. they refused to adjust the price. the walgreens in ad coupon still seemed to trump the mfg even though i gave it last. bummer ๐
