Seventh Generation Rebate: $5 Back!

03/31/2010

Share

seventh generationI am still trying to catch up on posts and here is a really good one!  Seventh Generation has a rebate HERE for $5 back when you buy 3 products from 3/15-6/30. This includes any products except single roll TP.

Right now you can still get the great deal at Target I told you about HERE- just .99 per item and get a $5 rebate back!

I think Seventh Generation is undergoing a packaging change right now because I am seeing a lot of clearance on these products.  You might keep your eyes peeled in your travels and grab these coupons while you can!

$1/1 from 1/10 RP

Register HERE for more coupons- these are set to expire 3/31 so I am not sure what will be available tomorrow

Thanks Dana!

Why I Use Coupons…

03/31/2010

shopping 331

Sometimes I feel like I don’t know how to shop “like a normal person.”  I have used coupons for so long I might have heart palpitations if I entered a store and actually paid full retail again.  At the same time, there are lots of times that I am tired or lazy or get treated shabbily and I get so sick of coupons!  I am ready to throw it all in and just go back to tossing things mindlessly into my cart at the grocery store and calling it a day.

But then I have trips like this and I simply can not believe how far you can stretch your dollars with just a few coupons and a sharp eye.  I finally made it to Toys R Us to try the My Little Ponies deal I told you about HERE.  And I got all four of those little ponies for a grand total of .90!  So about .22 each!  What a deal!  I wanted to grab a few more but I felt too guilty since the shelves were pretty empty.

Then I headed over to the household items to check for clearance and guess what!  Seventh Generation items were marked down to $1.98 each!  I had (3) $2/1 laundry soap coupons with me- so I scored all three for .49 total!  Then I spotted a nice Jumbo pack of Pull Ups marked down to $5.48- I used a $3 off Huggies coupon and scored a pack for $2.48!

So for a grand total of $3.87 I got a pack of diapers, 3 bottles of laundry soap and 4 My Little Ponies!

I headed over to Old Navy and scored a cute lightweight cardigan for $10.50 with coupon- so everything pictured was less than $15.  So that is why I use coupons.  Had I paid retail prices the total would have been $80.42. Yikes!

Tomorrow- April 1st- only, you can head over HERE and create a photo DVD for free PLUS get free shipping courtesy of RitzPix.com!  Whoopsie!  Sorry everyone I read this too quickly and it is actually $1.99 for shipping.  Still a great deal!

When Walgreens offered these a few months ago I was extremely pleased with the results and this would make a perfect Mother’s Day gift!  We made one as a gift and wound up keeping it because it turned out so well.  This is a great way to connect with relatives you don’t get to see as frequently as well!

So be sure to check back tomorrow and you should be able to customize your DVD.

Thanks Lauri!

Whole Foods: Toxic Trade In Events!

03/31/2010

toxic trade in

This is new information to me and if you guys are already aware of this program than please let us know about your experiences!  I have been so jealous of the cool Earthfare Boot Camp Challenges and here Whole Foods has something similar!

They have an event called the Toxic Trade In- where you take in a regular product and exchange it for an organic or all natural product!  So the catch is that the supply is limited- for the next Toxic Trade In at my local store they only have 50 products available but I still think this is a neat program and worth looking into for sure.

For my local readers, on Monday April 5th at 12pm you just head on in to Whole Foods, Roseville with any deodorant and exchange it for a Tom’s of Maine deodorant for free!

Then April 10th (Saturday) they are offering a trade in of a regular cleaner for a 365 Earth friendly cleaner!

Now, every Whole Foods store is totally different so you will need to check your local store to see if they offer something similar.

Here is what you do:

* Head over to Whole Foods and select your store by entering your zip at the top of the page.

*Go to your store’s homepage

* Click on calendar on the left side

That is where I found the info for my local store!  I just scrolled down and saw Toxic Trade Ins!  I also checked a few other random zip codes and saw similar events in MO and MI!  There are a ton of activities for the family that are free or very inexpensive so you might find a fun date night activity even if your store does not offer the trade ins!

Get Ready for those Easter Eggs!

03/31/2010

heinzReader Barbara sent in a coupon HERE for .50 off Heinz Vinegar.  This would be a good one to tuck away for Kmart doubles if your grocery store does not double coupons.

mccormickThe $1 off McCormick coupon is still available HERE (45435) for spices, herbs or food color.  There is a catalina running right now at most nationwide grocery chains such as Kroger, Safeway, and Meijer- get $2.50 back when you buy 3 or more extracts or coloring or get $1.50 back when you buy 2.

This makes for a sweet deal at Meijer right now:

Buy 4 Extracts at $2.50
Use (4) $1/1 from HERE or 3/14 RP
Use $1/2 Meijer Mealbox coupon
Final Price: $4 and get a $2.50 catalina back- so $1.50 for 4!
(Thanks Cindy!)

If you aren’t interested in the extracts, this coupon should still make for a good deal on spices or pure vanilla!

deviled eggs

And if you are wondering what to do with all those boiled eggs- I have a recipe I love from the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. I can’t post a recipe from a cookbook due to copyright issues but basically you can kick up the nutritional value by pureeing cauliflower and mixing it in with the yolks.  It turns out to be really delicious.
