Target: T-Shirts for $1.91

I was going through my reader last night when I saw a very clever idea over on Living Rich with Coupons.

Apparently Rachael Ray had a segment on the perfect white t for women and claimed the Hanes Tagless T Shirt (for MEN!) was it!  So Cindy found 6 packs of Hanes t-shirts in the men’s department of Target for $9.54- making them just $1.66 each!  Plus her packs had a free Right Guard deodorant.

Well you better bet I was headed to Target to check this out today!  I always need new t-shirts since being a mommy is a very messy job most days.

I only found the 5 packs at my store but they were also priced at $9.54- so $1.91 per shirt!  I wanted to give it a test drive before reporting back.  I have to say these are pretty comfortable.  They are a little boxier (ahem.. more forgiving) than ladies shirts are typically.  They are also a tiny bit thin so you want to be careful what you have on underneath.  Otherwise I think these are perfect for under sweaters/cardigans or with workout clothes.

Even better at $1.91 you don’t have to feel bad about tossing them once they start to show signs of wear.  I bought size medium and I think I should have gotten a small.   If you happen to come across the packages with the Right Guard attached they apparently have $1 off Hanes coupons inside!

Super cute, just a quick question…they don’t look like they go too low, but what do you think? I’m thinking of buying some, but not if they’ll show anything off!! (wink) I usually like higher cut shirts. (I’m a teacher) THANKS!

I bought my tagless Hanes 5 pack for under $7 at Walmart around Christmas. I buy these often and $9.00 sounds very high to me.

Oh no- too low is definitely not an issue.

Ok good to know Walmart is a little cheaper. I’d rather pay a little more than go to my local Walmart as it is pretty awful but it is nice to give options.

That is such a smart idea, I’m going to have to buy some on my next Target trip 🙂

Charlene, cna you explain, “I was going through my reader…”
I hope this is a way to follow blogs. Right now, I follow blogs on Facebook, but I tend to lose track of my friends and family that way!

Melanie I have Google Reader set up. It is nifty and was easy to do. Just add the blog you want and then when they post a little number pops up (the number of posts)- ok maybe I will just post this 🙂 Let me see if I have time in the next day or two. It is easy to set up.

I read about this in a magazine and love it, I wear them under sweaters so I don’t have to wash the sweaters as much and the t-shirts are comfortable when I work out.

SO I picked some up today and totally agree, the V is just perfect! I never get to buy v-necks b/c they are usually too low! I’m wearing mine right now, (found the 6 pack, but it was 10 bucks) and love it! 6 shirts for 10 bucks, I’ll take it!! Thanks for the post. I also noticed they have some thicker tagless crew cut and v neck grey and black shirts 2 for $10…I’m thinkin’ i might just pick up some of those too!
