This is interesting. You can click HERE to get mobile Target coupons for Target. Apparently you can actually have the bar code scanned at checkout and it says you can use the same bar code multiple times throughout the month.
Guess who just entered the word of texting? Me! I finally got a cell phone just last week so I am going to check this out and I will update you on how it goes.
If anyone is already doing this at Target let us know how it has worked for you!

I haven’t tried it yet, but I know you can enter your gift card info then have your phone scanned by the cashier instead of carrying a gift card! I hope all coupons are soon done this way!

I just signed up and got an immediate text that says “up to 5 msgs/mo”. Send STOP 2 end.” so it seems like it would be easy to change your mind if you didn’t want the text messages afterall.

@Sam – There’s scary little line that says “Message and DATA rates may apply.” I have unlimited text but no data and I don’t think I wanna give this a try.

I just signed up and received 2 texts immediately. 1st was the welcome message, the 2nd was already a coupon!! The 2nd one with the coupon had me click a link that used my web browser to open. It then gives me the bar code for the cashier to scan. Maybe it has to do with area/location? My coupons are for Merona clothes. The disclaimer says “Target coupons and Mobile coupon discount cannot be combined on individual items. Limit one coupon and 1 manufacturer coupon coupon per item. ” Hope this helps everyone! It will definitely save me some $$$! Thanks for this!
You need to have DATA & texting for this to work. I had texting & no data and all I got was a link but couldn’t do anything with it
Yes Di you need a smart phone exactly like the picture in the post. That is the only way the coupons will work.
For those of you with smart phones, you can download an app called Cardstar. This app allows you to add ANY gift card or customer rewards card so that the cashier just has to scan that instead of your actual card. Then you don’t have to carry all of them around!
I guess I am a little late on the target mobile coupon offer. I just signed up today. It works perfectly. I have a Metro Pcs cell phone and it worked for me..
