I just realized I didn’t post my shopping trip for the week.  I bought all this for $22.99 on Monday.  I know it is a little hard to see but there is actually quite a bit including a big can of Folgers.

SAFEWAY: $1.14 (I was pretty impressed with this trip, I have to say!)
4 Nature Valley Nut Clusters
1 Mission Tortillas
2 Fiber Plus Yogurt
2 Nivea Lip Balm
1 Arnold Sandwich Thins
2 packs of Mushrooms
2 jars Ragu
You can see last week’s Safeway deals HERE and HERE. I had a coupon for a free package of Arnold Sandwich thins as well.)

Walmart:
5lbs of bananas $2.53 (I wouldn’t have gone to Walmart except I got my weekly price list for the deals HERE)

Whole Foods: $3.30
4 Oikos Yogurt Free
Organic Cauliflower $3.30
2 Happy Baby Organic Baby Food packages- Free with my Kashless coupons!
See the deals HERE

Target: $10.11
Folgers $6.84
2 Coffeemate at $1.50 each
2 Fusion Razors at $6.99 each
5 Quaker Oatmeal $1.02 each
I used a $10 gift card and got $10 in gift cards back. See ongoing list of Target deals HERE.

Raley’s $5.91
2 Digiorno Pizzas $3.99- used $4 off coupons
4 Jennie O Ground Turkey $1.99
See the Raley’s deals from last week HERE.

I will be going to CVS today or tomorrow to get milk and I also went to Costco and bought mozzarella cheese and dog food for $27. I also ordered Pure Vanilla from Amazon- the total for 3 jars was $13. I used my Swagbucks to pay for $9 of it and paid $4 total.

So the grand total this week was $53.99.

I just stumbled across the concept of coupon clipping this week. I am amazed by the fact that you guys get such great deals. I went to Safeway yesterday and bought some of the items you suggested and my total went from $63 to $21. Does it take time to get your shopping trips lowered as much as you do? I live in Nor*Cal as well, so our prices are higher than the Midwest.

    Thanks!

Every week is different and yes it is a learning curve to get the hang of things. I have no idea what the prices are in the Midwest but I usually have to go to 3 stores or so per week to put together some decent deals. I am jealous of Publix shoppers.

I live in the midwest and I find that prices are a bit higher than posted on most blogs. I am dependent on walgreens, walmart and kmart for most of my deals. Our local grocery store doesn’t take printed coupons. It took me a few months to get the hang of meal planning with sales/coupons, price matching and register rewards. But what you guys do is AMAZING! On average I manage to save $40 to $60 per shopping trip. I just got back from walgreens with a receipt total of $124, but only paid $22! I got boogie wipes for $1/pack!!! Thank you for all of your hard work finding deals it saves me allot of time and I truly appreciate it.

I live in KS and the prices are pretty on…I LOVE your site! I went into Walgreens with much fear and trepidation today! But I did it and live to tell about it! There is definitely a learning curve…I lost out on $2.70 cause I forgot to use the friends and family 15%…(big sigh)…Learning curve… I am tracking my savings for Feb to see how much $$$ I save….we’ll see.

I wonder if there is a place for your subscribers to post their “shopping trips” pic’s…thought that would be cool to see what others are getting and I just think its encouraging to hear and see what others are doing.

Hmm. I would love to do that but I am not sure how to make it work. Let me think.

What pure Vanilla deal do you get through Amazon for 3 jars for $13? Sounds like a great deal.

Stacey this is what I ordered:

The last time I bought a giant jar of vanilla in Mexico that made such a difference and it just lasts forever. (The Mexican vanilla was from my wedding 5 years ago!)

feeling great about my quest to save money and use coupons I have gotten great inspiration from your site, it pays to talk to clerks and ask questions, a clerk at albertsons last week gave me the extra coupons that the CAT printed off and no one took he gave me 5 coupons for $4-10 dollars off grocery trips,
as well it pays to complain a little bit, I have quit going thru the car wash and paying 8-9 dollars, I put in $ 2 and was going to wash my car for that when the hose broke I told the attendant and I said I should get a free wash, he gave me a coupon for a 9 dollar wash:) thank for your site and your inspiration,
