This was a Japanese Anime movie which came out over a year and half ago. It finally came to the U.S. in September last year. It’s adorable along with all the other movies created by Studio Ghibli.
I saw this in the theaters and it is a Japanese movie and it is so cute! I can’t think of any kids that wouldn’t like it. (It is a little weird though but sweet)
We are a big fan of the animator’s work, and saw it in the theater. It’s a wonderful family friendly foreign film. (Say that 5 times fast!) This is a beautiful re-telling of a Japanese fairy tale. It’s not at all in the normal Disney “princess” style–the main characters are both children, so no one gets married at the end. 🙂 However, I would highly recommend it to adults and children!
